I actually sold a book to someone I do not know!!! A Japanese person bought my 2 copyhons and said they were cute!!!! OMG!!! I got my wish, someone who I did not know bought my books! ♥

I was also carded 4 times when buying over 18 books. 4x. I am so much over 18 this makes me laugh hard.

The sign up date for SuperComicCity was February 13. ;;_;; I guess I am not going to be a part of the GinoSuza puchi. ;;_;; I am so sad. At least I am a part of Haru and the uke Suzaku puchi and I guess if I make it to Japan in May I can just stay at the Ariake and go super early.. or something.

I'll get over it I am sure, I just didn't expect to have missed it by so little. It's probably for the best. Ah well.

I finally managed to make it through my backlog of entries and of course this is where I share that I am going back to Japan in March lol I'm pleased and excited to announce that I've gotten a space at Haru Comic City and with ee970's help I've applied to be a part of the Suzaku uke puchi being hosted by Double Slash. I can only hope that the application went through correctly and that I am now a part of it. I'll have to check every so often to see if the list is updated and I am added lol I totally need to revamp my website and part of the problem is I really need to get better at drawing and coloring on the computer and I still sort of prefer doing things by hand. Ah well. This also means I need to work on the copyhons I am hoping to do for this event, I don't want to be doing everything at the last minute again and I want to try doing more postcards. It's really exciting the prospect of being part of something with all the circles whose books I've been collecting for the last 3 years. I also sent one circle a gift picture and that was very nerve wracking. I'm hoping to get some sort of acknowledgment, it just makes me so anxious lol It's funny, I don't feel nervous asking for a sketch but actually sharing something I drew is completely different. I really hope she likes the picture. I still have a lot of room for improvement but I'd like to think I am getting better at drawing Gino and Suzaku. I want to make myself a LJ icon of them based off my own art...

And going onto that.. since most circles really hate people using their art I plan to get rid of any fan-art LJ icons I have that I do not own the rights to and to (i.e. the pictures Ko drew specifically for me to use are not the same thing at all!) slowly get rid of any of my official art LJ icons as well.

jusrecht I am going to read your fics, on the plane tomorrow. I'm going to have the page opened before I leave so I have access even without the internet. ^^;;

Everyone else, I am going to try to go back and leave comments when I can and will try to follow everyone's LJs from Japan. I feel awful about this, but yeah that is one reason I do every so often cut my flist, I just am awful at how I spend my time and like to get involved with big projects.

So to those who don't know, tomorrow I leave for Japan. Fortunately, I've already been confirmed for an upgrade to Business class from NY to SF, and hopefully I can get an upgrade from Japan >>;; SF tends to be stingy with upgrades but fortunately Osaka is not, so I am hoping on that flight I can get one. But at the very least, I get Business class to SF.

Happy Belated Birthdays to dilettantka and akaisakura, I think I got you earlier spazzygirl19 if not you're included in the belated wishes. It's not that I forgot any of you, I've just not been posting much. ;;_;;

New Year's Resolutions!
1) To not give myself 2 weeks to plan a trip to Japan, draw and visit with my sister and her girlfriend+see family. It will only end in stress.

2) To read more actual books.

3) To get back into going to the gym >>;;

4) To draw more.

5) To turn Strawberry-sorbet into a fan-art site.

6) To seriously work on sales!

I just need to organize the spacing on a single piece of paper so I can print them out at Kinkos! Oh, and do the notes page, but I've done clean up and in the test printing I did things didn't look half bad. Please wish me luck selling and that someone picks to buy my little book lol

So I am now officially a doujinshi circle! :D

So sumeragiskank are up to evil and I decided to go through some of the random Geass merchandise I picked up in Japan including a Newtype Q&A put to the various characters in Geass. One of the Gino ones/questions caught my eye while flipping through since I could actually read the answer on my own. With the help of kosquarepelli and the fact it's mostly in kana I believe we have discovered the meaning:

Q: Gino, why do you cling to Suzaku? (ジノは　どうして　スザク　に　くっつくの？　）
A: Because I like him! ( 好き　だから！！ )

You know... this really explains why GinoSuza has such a big following in Japan...

An since it is now Tuesday, I guess this can count as my happy thing for Tuesday, since it definitely makes me happy :D

OK, if any of my friends in Japan want to help me out, I would forever be indebted to you. ;;_;; I tried being good and using a bidding service to bid on the Geass poster I need but the seller canceled the bid that was placed. ;;_;; the item is currently about 850 yen and I would happily send you the money via PayPal from my balance there if you would bid for me. It ends on the 26th around 10 pm

In other sad news, I somehow managed to burn my hand on the hot water in my sink last night. And I mean like really burn, as in a slight amount of blistering o_O;; I think this is the final straw on why i need dishwashing gloves since they would have protected me somewhat.

As I am still coming to terms with a life without Code Geass each week I decided to write up some reviews of recent doujinshi I bought. I do have a lot more books, but I figured this would be a god start. I'm not scanning inside pages and I do ask that people not use these cover scans for anything. I'm mostly sharing my thoughts on the books since it can be hard to decide whether or not to buy a book and since I own these already someone ought to share their thoughts. I am only sharing thoughts on books I don't regret buying. Please note I do not read Japanese but I can usually get the gist of the story decently well.

WAIIIIII my doujinshi came in the mail this morning! Nothing makes getting up before 8:00 am happy like getting doujinshi in the mail! <3

The majority of the doujinshi actually belong to sumeragiskank or are the late prizes for the late contest for area37 but there were 3 meant for me!!!!!!

Though I flipped through some of sumeragiskank's cause she gave me permission and wow, I think I need to get into Reborn. Tsuna is so cute and I actually really like the art in one of them >>;

My books were: a RoloLulu which was sadly not as wrong as I had hoped, other than Rolo moaning "Nii-san" while doing Lelouch. There is some sort of serious plot involving Suzaku being at Ashford and tiny picture of 367. I can't decide if I will keep it. A supposedly SuzaLulu book by RocknDolless but like unless there is something in the text to make it SuzaLulu there really is no way to tell who tops in it. ^_^;; Also it totally looks like Milly is about to screw Suzaku at some point with Lelouch watching o_O;;; But even happier I got my overly expensive small RocknDolless GinoSuza book <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 It sells for a small fortune on Y!J still and I needed it cause GinoSuza and R-18!!!!! All I can say is, OMG I think it's actually cute happy consensual porny GinoSuza!!!!! I think it's not messed up and is how I see the pairing and they have sex 2x!! And just WAIIII So today when I feel more alert I am scanning!!!!!!!

Time for a fangirly post. for those who don't know I've been scoping out This event since I first picked up some info on it over SCC. At first it was only 40 spaces, which seemed like a decent amount for a pairing only event. My first real only event was 10/19/03 when I went to the 60 person Yuuta only event. (That trip was also interesting as it was when I met muscatlove, yanchamonkey, and dilettantka for my first time. *waves to them*) And we're going to ignore that 10/19 is Hiroshi's birthday proving just how much my crack OTP is really TRU BOI LUV

I remember at the time I thought a 60 person Yuuta only event was awesome. The majority of circles there did Fujicest and the majority of circles did Yuuta uke. (there were a few MizuYuu circles and a few "let's 'ho out Yuuta" circles where he was also bottom) So 40 circles, just doing GinoSuza where Suzaku is bottoming seemed awesome since in all honesty, Geass characters might be more popular on character polls but doujinshiwise no series has come close to topping Tenipuri's might since I've gotten into doujinshi.

The big question was would circles I like go And could I find a way to go lol. About a month later the event had been upgraded to a 70 person event. How could I not be happy 70 people just doing GinoSuza!

I couldn't check the site while I was in CA and so when I got home I went over to it and... it's now 100 circles. 100 circles just doing GinoSuza! <3 <3 The circle list has a bunch of circles I really like listed like: Double Slash, Monthly Planets Maybe we'll finally get that damn GinoSuza book I want from them! Cle*matis, the Poisonboy people, Pandora's Box, Mime, Rainy (of course since they are helping run it), Homeopathy who I've wanted to try, and it looks like ROCKNDOLLESS the huge SuzaLulu circle that is one of the huge circles at the SuzaLulu event is going! OMG!!!!

All this means that I am now more and more worried about lines and the event being timed. I really really want a sketch by Mime since I'm not sure I've gotten them before and I would die to get one from RockNDolless. I knew RocknDolless liked GinoSuza since there is that one sold out book on Y!J I paid a small fortune for but wow, they're doing more. *____* i hope the book I am getting is good, I hope the new one is even better. About the only circle I really like who I am surprised is not attending is Zaco since they seem to be doing more GinoSuza with R2. (Kashi and Aquascape don't seen to do GinoSuza, I'm not surprised with Kashi but thought Aquascape might. Renbu and whatever Patisserie is calling itself now are too hard to know what they're doing >>; )

I so need to be at this event.

Despite sumeragiskank's advice I should wait until I am done, the fact that it is 7/3 or as I've seen it written sometimes in Japan 3/7 today is just too tempting XD; This is also my 7th Geass fic and if I can I shall break it into 3 parts XD;
