Suzaku should have known he was in trouble the moment he accepted Gino's marriage proposal, no from the moment Gino had proposed. He'd been both embarrassed and completely swept away by the taller blond knight dropping to one knee and proposing on the stage as soon as Nunnally had finished formally giving Japan back its name. The assembled crowd had cheered, several giant banners had dropped down along with confetti and Suzaku found himself giving a weepy `yes' as an overly large gaudy diamond ring was pushed onto his finger. Their engagement had been picked up by nearly all the world's newspapers and even eclipsed Japan's recent return to statehood. If Suzaku hadn't known he was in trouble before, he should have known then. But it wasn't until a gigantically tall blond man and his equally diminutive dark haired wife showed up at the apartment he and Gino were sharing in newly rebuilt Tokyo that he truly started to understand.

"Gino Weinberg!" shouted the petite woman at Suzaku's much chagrinned boyfriend, no, future husband. "How could you do this to your parents? Did I not pay to have the best servants and tutors raise you so you wouldn't turn into a no-goodnik like your brother, Brooklyn. And now you're getting married and didn't even tell your parents first!" Pulling out a handkerchief the woman burst into tears as her husband patted her shoulder and Suzaku stared completely dumbstruck.

"But Mother!" Gino smiled and quickly wrapped an arm around Suzaku's shoulders and squeezed them for support. "I didn't think you'd care."

"Wouldn't care!?!?" sniffled Georgiana. "Wouldn't care!?!? I'm your mother!"

"Yeah... uhh, Mother, Father, this is my fiance, Suzaku." Smile plastered across his face, Gino tugged Suzaku slightly forward and right into the middle of the fray.

Looking up from the cloth Georgiana sniffled one more time before looking shrewdly at Suzaku and nodding before giving the boy a huge hug. "Georgiana Weinberg, and this is my husband, Michael. You're going to take good care of our little boy, aren't you?" demanded the tiny woman wagging a finger at Suzaku. "Make sure he eats enough and iron his clothing for him, he's hopeless at anything that doesn't involve piloting a Knightmare."

"Mother!"

"Michael Weinberg." Offering his hand to Suzaku, his grasp was strong and confident and the young Knight of the Seven was starting to feel anything but. "Aren't you going to invite your mother and I, in Gino?"

Suzaku flushed bright red and Gino rubbed the back of his neck. "How about we go out for breakfast?" suggested the Knight of the Three, trying to adjust Suzaku's way too short cloak which he had quickly thrown on over his boxers when he went to answer the door.

"Have you picked a rabbi for the wedding yet?

"Rabbi?" blinked Suzaku.

"Didn't Gino tell you he was Jewish?" asked Michael, finally becoming more interested in the conversation having assessed that at least the slender Japanese boy had better manners than his second son's wife and their brood of miserable brats.

"Father, I was raised by servants, I don't really think.."

"Oh but Suzaku will convert, won't he?" smiled Georgiana. "It would break your Grandmother Melissa's heart to know that our Gino married out!"

Looking into the large cornflower eyes of his future mother-in-law, Suzaku swallowed anxiously not even sure what being Jewish entailed let alone converting to it. However if it would make things a little more peaceful, well Suzaku was always willing to sacrifice himself. Plus it was a little off-putting to see his always self-assured and enthusiastic future husband seem so cowed. "Uhh Sure."

"I'm sure you're going to be a wonderful addition to the family, Suzaku!"

Gino had been completely glum during breakfast, mostly because his parents rather sudden arrival had put an end to the christening of the new couch he and Suzaku had just purchased. Not even his favorite strawberry chocolate chip oatmeal pancakes seemed to be helping. Trying to cheer him up Suzaku placed a hand on his thigh under the cover of the tablecloth and inched slightly closer, doing his best to listen politely as he learned more about the Weinberg family and Gino's 3 older brothers, Marius, Peyton and Brooklyn. Smiling slightly when he felt Gino's hand snake back around him to snuggle him closer, Suzaku started to think that somehow things would work out, particularly when Gino started eating again.

"Who is doing the flowers for your wedding?"

"Oh I am, Mother," spoke Gino through his food, trying to swallow as fast as possible so as not to talk with his mouth full. "Every flower has a true mean--"

"And where is this wedding taking place, I was thinking your eldest brother Marius' estate in Bedford would be perfect."

Suzkau put down his tea cup blinking quickly, despite all the trouble Japan had given him, it was hard to contemplate anywhere else for his wedding.

"We're still in discussions," lied Gino smoothly, giving a little half smirk to his fiance.

"And the date?"

Suzaku started choking on his tea and Gino dropped a fork. In all the excitement neither had thought to actually figure one out.

"You have set a date, all the best places book up months in advance!"

"Your mother's right, Gino. Have you started to think about the guest list? I'm not sure he would come but you need to invite the Emperor Emeritus and the Emperor .."

"No! We are NOT inviting the Emperor!" shouted Gino banging his hands on the table and causing several glasses to jump and all the other dinners to stare at them. "Come on Suzaku, we're going home." When the boy failed to respond fast enough, Gino lifted him over a shoulder and ignoring further whispering by the other customers carried him off. Pausing only when a sudden bright light went off in his face as someone took their picture.

"Gino!" hissed Suzaku, his face managing to actually turn redder.

"I'll get a wedding planner to call you, Gino!" called his mother loudly.

"And I'll get on the rabbi."

At this rate we'll never get to baptize that couch, thought Gino, hoping by the time they actually got back to the apartment Suzaku would have forgotten about the photographs, however unlikely it was.

Surreptitiously unplugging the phone while Suzaku pet their cat, the larger knight came up and nuzzled Suzaku's neck, tucking his slender fiance protectively to his body. Tilting his head, Suzaku gave a peaceful smile, which encouraged Gino to clamber onto the couch, it was for the gift of one of those precious smiles Gino would happily do anything within his power. Arthur let out a soulful meow from the sudden intrusion and then gnawed for a few seconds on his owner's hand before jumping from his perch and leaving the two teens alone. Gently, Gino lifted Suzaku's hand and kissed the bite marks. Not saying anything, Suzaku settled into Gino's lap and began to unfasten the blond knight's shirt. Deciding this meant Suzaku had forgiven his trespasses Gino grinned and started removing his fiancé's clothing. When they'd finished christening the couch they'd moved onto the bathtub, the hallway, the wall and their bedroom. It wasn't until Arthur started yowling furiously for his food that either moved exhausted from their earlier activities.

"You don't need to convert, Suzaku. I love you just the way you are. And uhh, sorry about my parents."

Bending down to put a little more food in the cat's bowl, Suzaku smiled up at Gino. "I see where you get your enthusiasm from now."

"I barely know them!"

"But you just press on, no matter what," laughed Suzaku as he leaned over the sink to wash his hands and a few dishes.

Admiring Suzaku's ass for a few seconds, Gino slipped behind his fiance and kissed his neck eliciting a small gasp. Sliding his hands up the smaller knight's chest Gino rubbed his erection against the teen, pleased when Suzaku pushed back.

"And you love that about me, Suzaku."

"Yes... I do."

That was all the confirmation Gino needed to start them on the next round of love making. It wasn't until the next morning as both Knights were rushing around to find their clothes that Gino realized their telephone was still unplugged from the night before. Their number was unlisted, both being Knights of the Round, but Gino had suspected if he wanted to any peace it was a precaution he'd needed to take, but it now it seemed almost silly by the light of morning, as he returned service to the phone. Helping Suzaku by leaving out some catfood for Arthur as his fiance was having a difficult time walking, Gino grabbed both their cloaks from the closet as they headed out for another busy day being Knights of the Round.

Truth be told their work days mostly consisted of posing for photographs with Britannian Ambassador to Japan, Nunnally vi Britanna, doing paperwork, and standing around looking attractive. It was not exactly why Gino had signed on as a Knight but it did give him the opportunity to sometimes sneak off for a few illicit blowjobs at work with his fiance. And he and Suzaku were planning on retiring after their wedding, whenever they figured out a date. Suzaku for the most part was somewhat pleased with his new role, though he also didn't regret their impending retirement and his reversion back to being a Japanese citizen. Having spent years living at a shinto shrine, being the son of Japan's Prime Minister, being an "honorary" Britannian, and then the first number to become a Knight of the Round, he was rather adept at standing around looking ceremonial and pretty.

It wasn't until Gino was searching through his jacket pockets for the key to their apartment after work had ended that either even remembered the rather sudden appearance of Gino's parents the day before. Telling himself the worst had to be over as there were no obvious signs of current uninvited guests, Gino gave Suzaku a kiss and opened the door. Switching to his slippers, Suzaku called his greetings into the house and went to go and check on Arthur. Stepping into the living room, he was greeted by the ominous blinking of their answering machine. Still not truly realizing quite how much trouble he was in, Suzaku pressed "Play" and was assaulted by his future mother-in-law's voice. Gino immediately rushed into the room and hit the "Stop" button, just as the phone started to ring again. Without thinking he picked it up.

"Gino! I've been trying to call you all day. Your father and I had to return home, but I'm having a wedding planner and some caterers stop by your apartment this week. You need to pick a date darling. Oh, and Marius said you could use his estate and if not I'm sure your brother Peyton would agree. And Father says not to forget to tell you the rabbi is coming, Gino are you listening?"

"Yes, Mother, the uhh tea water is boiling and I need to shut it off now!"

Slamming down the phone, Gino gave a sharp yank and pulled the cord out of the wall triumphantly before collapsing onto the couch. Suzaku just stared in wide-eyed silence, before joining Gino and gently leaning against his much larger fiance, hands resting on the blond knight's knee.

"I'm sure things will work out? We got through the Black Rebellion."

"Yeah.." Giving Suzaku's hand a squeeze, Gino smiled and twisted to cuddle his slender future spouse against him. "June 11th."

"Huh?"

"3 months from now, it's June 11th, that's when we'll get married, so now we have a date."

"And it will be here, in Japan."

"If that is what you wish my love, then so it shall be."

"Gino..."

"June 11, here in Japan," grinned the taller knight as he lifted Suzaku into his lap.

"June 11, here in Japan."
