To the greatest and most amazing "Terrible Two" in the world.

Birthday!

Jan. 27th, 2012 12:09 pm
Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] reynardine, and look I am actually making another LJ post!

So, I've scanned 40+ doujinshi so far to sell. I will be posting them here on my lj first, I am planning to sell off the majority of my collection. I'm starting with some series I have less of first (so far I've done HP and Digimon Frontiers), then Tenipuri to get rid of that crap and then prob Seed and last will be Geass and Basara cause the amount of Geass I own is scary and I might actually keep some of those books because Geass is special.

Among some of the weirder things I will be selling:

Les Miserables doujinshi (w/Valjean/Javert smut)
Producers Musical doujinshi
Power Puff Girls all English doujin made by someone in Japan!
My full size Seishirou/Subaru Anthology

Happy Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] becroberts [livejournal.com profile] thundermew and [livejournal.com profile] gokumew2 and anyone else I missed!

For anyone who was concerned, we were very very lucky and kept power during the Halloween Nor'easter and did not have to flee our home for lack of heat or water. Some of my friends though were not as fortunate and I really hope they get their power back.
Happy Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] reynardine

Happy Early Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] jougetsu since who know when I will be on.

I fail as a Gen-Xer. I do not remember where I was when Challenger was lost. The 25th Anniversary was yesterday. For me, yesterday was a more personal triumph, or rather one for my baby. Adina flipped from front to back on her own for the first time.

And since who doesn't want to see a picture of her:
Happy Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] spazzygirl19 and [livejournal.com profile] twotone and anyone else I might have missed.

It's funny, growing up I always hated and dreaded Christmas but now with the internet it's just really not as big a deal. In fact, I'm even starting to like Christmas because it means huge sales I can take advantage of. Baby Gap is much more attractive at 40% off. If you're all wondering why the internet make such a big deal in terms of Christmas... well in the bad old days, there were limited channels on TV and so for Christmas all you could see were Christmas shows which if you don't celebrate Christmas aren't much fun. The radio stations use to only play Christmas music. But thanks to the internet and mp3s I can listen to whatever horrible music I want, all the time and with the internet I can watch whatever I want. It's truly lovely and helps make the day less boring. Though honestly with a baby it feels like I am constantly busy every day.

Lately, I've been indulging in Next Generation DVDs. It is great.

Adina gave her Mommy a late gift of A cupcake corder It's an awesome gift and has enabled her mother to make her dream cupcakes, chocolate with lemon curd filling and chocolate frosting. Yummy! I guess if we were having company I could try to get fancy with decorations but they're just for our enjoyment. Pictures may follow. I've been using Martha Stewart's Cupcakes, another gift I received. So far the cupcakes might be a little greasy in terms of the pan, but taste moist and delicious and the frosting is very yummy and not too buttery. I love Rose Levy Beranbaums cakes, and one of her recent ganaches inspired me, but her buttercreams seriously taste like super sweet butter. Mommy also got a scale, in an attempt to stem the tide of weight gain. This does not go well with cupcakes in the house.

I am so not looking forward to tomorrow's snow Particularly since we are out of garbage bags so I really sort of need to go out to buy them in the morning. Meh, I so hope we don't get more than 6 inches. Though I've already been making jokes about pictures of Adina in her first snow.

And a few baby pictures because who doesn't want to see my baby? )
Thank you so much to [livejournal.com profile] becroberts, [livejournal.com profile] sumeragiskank, [livejournal.com profile] isachi, [livejournal.com profile] muscatlove, < lj user=reieien>, [livejournal.com profile] reynardine, [livejournal.com profile] twotone, [livejournal.com profile] bittenbefore, [livejournal.com profile] stardustasylum, [livejournal.com profile] branblyhedge, [livejournal.com profile] mamajoan, [livejournal.com profile] retch, [livejournal.com profile] spazzygirl19, and [livejournal.com profile] thundermew for the birthday wishes here and on Facebook. I appreciate it even if I am super slow about saying thank you.

My birthday was quiet and nice and I actually got sleep thanks to my husband and the baby. And thanks to my cousin, I've now learned how to make the baby smile at me more! :D I also got Departures, Basara on DVD and tomorrow I am so making cupcakes!!!!

Happy Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] akari_sama and [livejournal.com profile] lbmango, trying to get on the internet is just a lot more of a challenge than it use to be. :(

The big news here is: The baby is now large enough to start wearing some brands 0-3 months clothes, I might have Mommy's Thumb (going to the doctor tomorrow), and I am swapping out my old dishes for Fiestaware and secretly I am a Trekkie

And now what you all really want to see... )
OK I lied. My MiL is coming to stay with me tomorrow and I'm a little anxious about it. I really would like her to see the baby, but the house is a pigsty and there is no way I can make it look even half way reasonable. For one thing, Adina has decided the evening is her awake time when she wants attention and just about the only thing that will comfort her is being held. Since holding a baby for hours gets exhausting we've been using the MobyWrap which is one of the many ways one can wear a baby. I'm hoping to eventually switch to the Becco, but the baby needs to be at least 7 pounds for that vs. the Moby works for a baby her size.

I fail at getting out announcements and invitations to the Baby Naming. At least I've been getting out thank yous. If you'd like an announcement and for some reason you're not sure I have your mailing addy, please email me! (yuutafan)(AT)GMAILDOTCOM and I will do my best to get you out one.

I'm also considering trying to take a small vacation with Adina and hubby for my birthday. Am I insane?

While in labor, I requested a letter for a meme and now I am finally getting around to sharing...

Meme about songs from [livejournal.com profile] jusrecht
1. Reply to this post and I'll assign you a letter.
2. List (and upload) 5 songs you love that begin with that letter.
3. Post them to your journal with these instructions.

[livejournal.com profile] jusrecht gave me "W" and I realized that I could pick songs that all somehow relate in my mind to Code Geass lol

White and Nerdy by Weird Al (because Lelouch is so white and nerdy)
Womanizer by Britney Spears (And yes also a Womanizer, I always imagine Suzaku singing this to Lelouch, possibly in the cheerleader costume)
What Have You Done by Within Temptation (Wangsty Suzaku to Lelouch)
What I've Done by Linkin Park (Wangsty Suzaku, it's so R2 Suzaku, particularly at the end of the series)
Walking in My Shoes by Depeche Mode (Because every playlist needs something by Depeche Mode, and this song works for most of the cast of Geass.)

And as a bonus...
White Destiny by Ishida Yoko (As it was Pretear that first introduced me to Sakurai back in 2001, and of course he plays the wangsty knight.

Mp3s will be up for a while until I decide to delete them off my server.

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to [livejournal.com profile] becroberts!
Happy Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] isachi and I think [livejournal.com profile] seaster was around this time... I owe lots of people responses which I will be working on. Sorry.

The last few days have been very very rough. The baby is fine, no worries there, it's all me and I am seriously looking into going to see the midwives about my problems. At the very least I am so calling them today. :(
Happy Birthday to Suzaku, who I ought to be drawing pictures of and I am not >>;

Happy Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] bwinter and to my cousin Miriam's new little girl!!! I wonder what the other pregnancies in my family are going to be.

Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] kosquarepelli! I hope I get to see you next week!

So today since I was feeling more alert and it was no longer 103, I decided to finally go back through my voice mail on my cell phone where I discovered I had 10 messages waiting for me. Several of them were from a "Nurse" at the doctor's office who declined to leave a detail message. Being the neurotic person that I am, I was worried this meant there was sugar or protein in my urine from my last urine test and there was concern about gestational diabetes. After spending some time playing phone tag I got a nurse and... it was that some of my tests had not been forwarded from my last doctor's office which I already knew from my nurse's appointment yesterday. ~.~ I wish they could have just said it in my voicemail! I'm a bit ticked that the office in Westchester could not forward these tests, and it's not like I have no idea what the results must be.

I also went on a tour of the Birthing Center and... they sound so wonderful! My mother is of course nervous about the whole thing, but I really think I am going to pick the Center over Danbury hospital. For one thing they allow water births which I think is something I am interested in! I've also signed up for a Childbirth class! Now to look into Lactation classes to make sure I can nurse. I think my favorite thing about the Birthing Center is when I shared the fact that my pre-natal vitamins tend to make me nauseous and I have a hard time keeping them down instead of the reaction of both the doctor's office in Westchester and in Danbury (change when you take them, make sure you take them with food, change brands, yeah they just suck like that) they had a fast absorbing LIQUID VERSION! I had been wondering why if we can do all sorts of other amazing scientific achievements we could not make liquid pre-natal vitamins since I've noticed a lot of women get nausea from pre-natal vitamins. It does cost more than the pills, but seriously, I just don't care, so worth the money!
Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] jusrecht!!

Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] twotone!
A Happy Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] wanderingscribe and a Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] chokingcufflink, I'm glad I got to see you on your birthday.

I've been bad about reading LJ or responding to anyone via email over the last week since my in-laws have been here and I want to apologize in advance. It feels wonderful to have them gone to Boston now and to finally be able to do things when I want to and listen to my bad pop and just to be.

Happy Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] spazzygirl19!!!

Rest in Peace Penal Tea 2002-2009 Does this mean I am officially way over Tenipuri?

I'd type more but my ear is hurting me, I'm hoping it is the weird low pressure system. ~.~
Let's see, first a Happy Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] akari_sama (I do remember you're the 4th) and to [livejournal.com profile] lbmango! (on the 8th) and of course to [livejournal.com profile] pringlepartie my birthday sharing sister-in-law (on the 6th)

I've been quite busy because for those who missed, hubby and I are hoping to move and this means trying to make our house look like people who are not us live here. It is a lot of work trying to clean the house. [livejournal.com profile] ee970 was kind enough to come up on Monday afternoon to give me some of the help and shoves I really needed. I am happy to say you can now see the floor in one of the spare bedrooms and can now sit on the floor while the other spare bedroom is even cleaner and just needs some boxes moved upstairs to make it ready for potential buyers. (And possible some paint work.) I can also say the radiator there works a little too well according to [livejournal.com profile] ee970

A very huge hug and thank you to: [livejournal.com profile] ad_exia, [livejournal.com profile] becroberts, [livejournal.com profile] bramblyhedge, [livejournal.com profile] chocolate_chip, [livejournal.com profile] chokingcufflink who doesn't count for obvious reasons lol, [livejournal.com profile] dilettantka, [livejournal.com profile] ee970, [livejournal.com profile] jusrecht, [livejournal.com profile] muscatlove, [livejournal.com profile] pringlepartie, [livejournal.com profile] reynardine, [livejournal.com profile] spazzygirl19, [livejournal.com profile] sumeragiskank and [livejournal.com profile] stardustasylum for the birthday wishes and thanks to [livejournal.com profile] twotone birthday/winter seasonal wishes. :D

I'm hoping this is a lucky year for me since it's a # I am very fond of. I need to work harder on losing weight, eating healthier, growing more food, cleaning more often, not buying crap I don't need and working on my art/doujinshi!
That my birthday as well as Channukah was coming up and since [livejournal.com profile] jusrecht already posted hers... I may as well do that holiday meme thing again.

Another year older and another year linking back to previous posts )

Enjoy the greed
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to [livejournal.com profile] ee970 !!!!!!!!

Sorry your gift will be late, I suck and am slow. ;;_;;
