Japan Queries

Last night I received confirmation from We Love dolls, that I am getting my Yo Chinatsu and Kuuta. I'm really quite pleased. Originally, I had planned to use this order as my safety net and then go to the After Event on 9/9 to make an attempt to get the Yos for original Japanese prices about $60 each less (plus I would get them in Sept and there would be no shipping). However, as most people know the After Event is done by lottery, so even if you get there at 7:00 a.m. if you draw a bad number, you are unlikely to get your doll. I also realized with hotel stay and trains, I was spending more like $77+9000 yen to "save" $120 on my Yos. ^^;;

So now the conundrum. Should I still go to the After Event? If I don't, should I visit Sato on 9/15? It would be one less day I spent in Tokyo, (and I would need to change that reservation as well) but if I bought anything I would get double points. I would have to go alone. Finally, I could wait until Monday the 18th, since yanchamonkey has off and drag her to Sato again. We actually had a really good time both times we went together and we could make a day of it and go shopping in Arashiyama again and maybe go to the monkey park. *____* If I ordered any FCS no double points, but I'd have a companion on the train ride and yanchamonkey is a lot of fun.

I'm a sucker for doing things for the experience. And I definately pay more for it too ^^; For instance me flying down to LA for a weekend to go to the Volks shop. I think you should always do things at least once, just for the experience~

Well.except I'm not sure if it is an experience I will look back on happily. :P

I really regret waiting in line for a LE Christmas Dolpa. Once I got a crappy number, I should gave just gone to the Dealer's room line. ~.~

If you don't think it will be fun then I think it's best to go with a friend at your leisure and have fun.

I think Sato and shopping with a friend sounds like the most fun ^^

Thanks! I most definitely will. The big question will be what eyes to get for them. lol

It is a lot more fun being at Sato with someone, and last time Kate went with me, we had a great time even though Kate is not a doll person. We spent a few hours shopping Arashiyama first and if the weather is ncie we can go to the monkey park!

It does get lonely shopping alone. I find I have done most of my clothes shopping only when I have company lately. I am going to be on my own plenty of other days, and it might be nice to be able to leave earlier and easier to see Jenn on 9/9 as well.
