Waiter Woes

rkoldSo yesterday, I went to the Cheesecake Factory. The main course was sort of mediocre, though the cheesecake was quite good. (though in all honesty not as good as mine when I make it, or the decadent piece of Eli's I bought in the Chicago airport) The most interesting aspect of the meal was the waiter.
Usually, when I go out to eat, I'm with the husband, or larger group of friends, but this time it was just me and my friend. Our branch of the Cheesecake Factory, is extraordinarily busy. We waited 20 minutes for our small table for 2. I sat on the inside on a long booth, and my friend sat on a chair across from me, We weren't squished, but there were also dinners on my left and right.
Our waiter originally knelt near us when taking our order, but as the meal continued, he came and sat on the booth next to me. I confess, I've never really had this experience before.

I appreciate the job wait staff do, but I haven't invited them to join me for dinner. :P
