So for those who don't know, it's New Years Time, so I'm wishing everyone a Happy New Years. New Years particularly amuses me, since it's the time for apples and honey *snickers* Anyone want to guess what type of apples I bought to go with my honey? :P

I got 3 submissions for my fan-art contest at Kyoudai-ai already!!!! YEAH!!!!!

Any, for those who don't know, I will be going to Japan in Oct, so if you're in the Tokyo area and want to meet, drop me a line or something. People say I'm incredibly genki in real life...I am obsessed with Yuuta and rather fond of Fujicest, so just a warning... But if you get me talking about Gundam Seed it's always a good thing as I like nearly everyone in it. I'm also going to be attending some of the events listed on the Penal-tea events pages, I'm sure you can guess which. *laughs* I also like Tsubasa, Whistle, Utena, CCS, and find myself still watching FMA cause I need to see if Greed is going to come back as Greed the White XD

Weee! Happy new year! :-D

My mother went on an apple buying spree, & they were all fujis. LOL Very tasty, I think the only ones I like better are royal gala.

I recently got hold of Utena and Tsubasa too - fell in love with them in about three minutes flat. XD Except Tsubasa makes me miss CCS.^^;;; Haven't seen FMA yet, but everyone (like: EVERYONE @_@) says it's good.

*HUGS*

Hmmmmmm I enjoy FMA, but I don't know if I would necessary say it's always good. I think the series was quite good until like 42, and since then it's been sort of ehhhh. Though I was highly amused by episode 48. Mostly I find myself watching now to see if characters I like will live and if characters I hate will die. It's a bit like X in that FMA has no qualms in killing people off. >.<

Utena on the other hand, I think is a fascinating series which opens lots of questions. If you haven't see it I would also recommend Princess Tutu that has many similarities to Princess Tutu. (Though I confess I stopped at 13 and I hear people either like or hate the next 14-26, but you can end at 13 and have a satisfying conclusion!)

I use to prefer Greenings and Ida Reds but now I only really do Fujis XD *laughs* I made an apple crisp with some today.

...then I will have to watch Princess Tutu! ^_^ Utena, as you said, is what X aspired to be (if X had, y'know, some actual meaningful allegorical stuff instead of "feathers, gears, ooh apocalypse" -- BTW, good call on Keiichi as Wakaba. ROFL!! Indeed he is :D). I very much like the Utena/Anthy stuff too, with the Prince vs Princess thing. The ending of the manga, with what happens to Anthy, is particularly satisfying.

Yes, I truly and honestly believe that XTV wanted to have the same emotional resonance as Utena and since you've seen both, it's easy to see Kamui's sacrifice to get back/free Fuuma as the same as Utena's to free Anthy. And the way both sort of vanish rather than actually "die" so to speak.

Princess Tutu is fasvinating and very surreal at times and I would definitely recommend at least the first 13 episodes. Ahiru, the main character, is very endearing.

I haven't read Utena manga yet ^^;;
