In regards to my previous LJ entry...
Apr. 2nd, 2010 05:43 amBefore I respond to individual comments....
Originally, I had planned to wait until next Thursday to make my announcement, as I would have had my 2nd doctor's appointment and my Nuchal Translucency would be past. Because of my age and this being my first time, I've been a little nervous about miscarriage and birth defects. However, in the end my mischievous nature could just not resist posting on 4/1 to see who thought I was pranking and who thought I was telling the truth.
If you've been pregnant before, please no horror stories. I do not want to hear about: morning sickness that did not go away or came back, any aches and pains, how labor sucked and was painful, anything about ripping or episiotomies, or well just anything negative. It's very exciting for me and my husband right now and playing freak out the newly pregnant person is mean. No one who read my LJ is genetically related to me except one person, and said person has never been pregnant. You can tell me wonderful stories about short labor, morning sickness ending at week 12 and feeling energetic during pregnancy, even if they are made up :P
Morning sickness sucks. Or sucks for me. Many people do not have it as badly as I do. I puke at least once a day now, (down from week 9 where it was 7-10x) and I actually feel worse in the evening. Flying with the start of morning sickness was a miserable experience.
My due date is 10/19/10 (Yagyuu Hiroshi's birthday for those curious) and I am currently about 1/2 way done with week 12. At week 9 I had my last appointment and got to see my baby on the ultrasound and its beating heart. Week 14 is the start of trimester 2 and hopefully all morning sickness is over by then.
No, I've no idea what gender my baby is yet. They can't tell until week 20 or so.

Re: How exciting!
Date: 2010-04-04 06:44 am (UTC)I am sure they will be comfy, I had an Old Navy pair (as seen in some pics that I linked you to) that were nice, so I am sure Gap will be even better.
Yeah I think most shirts, especially the longer ones would be fine. I didn't get too many maternity shirts, it was more the pants that I needed.
I got a nice maternity bra at Pea In The Pod. It was $50 but I STILL wear it lol. It's quite comfy.
Maybe you can find a dress you like a few sizes big and get it tailored when you are closer to the event?
Yeah, whether you work or are at home a pump is nice. I had a Medela Swing which might be good for you, only problem is it's only one side at a time. It would probably be ok if you produce enough, which I didn't...so I can't give you a good review. But it's cheap and compact which is nice.

Date: 2010-04-04 01:45 pm (UTC)It's not the $50 so much as I think I will be changing sizes a lot more which is why I am thinking some new outlet bras would be good. Luckily, I am sure I can convince my brother. :D
I don't know I am going to see what is out there once I am in my 6 month since I should have a better idea of just how big I am then too. I figure mid July or August will be a good time to look. It's not like pants and tops that I can wear now and for the next few months. I got a dress with enough stretch it will work for the wedding in May and NY Dolpa in June. Unless of course I balloon lol
I would think that would not be so bad, since I'm just doing the occasional bottle. It's not like I am trying to do this before rushing off to work.

Yeah, then I think you should get that one since it's pretty small and not that pricey.
