Millennium Force...*drools*
Millennium Force from the hotel parking lot. *so worth the money for that view!*
For those interested, people generally find it odd that I am completely petrified of ferris wheels but not things like Millennium Force which are tall enough to fit the Statue of Liberty under. (and not the Odaiba version) The truth is, I am terrified of heights, and roller coasters generally don't spend that long at the top and you're always moving rather fast. Ferris wheels move slowly and you feel like you're up high forever.
I will try to actually write up something about some of the things I did at some point, but I am slow.
And for those who missed it last May...

Date: 2004-08-17 02:35 pm (UTC)Oddly enough, I've wanted to collect dolls since I was a little girl and my father gave me a book on Barbie. The Barbies that were at the time for sale didn't fascinate me anywhere near as much as the dolls from the late 1960's. I'd love to someday make dolls of characters I like, though I don't sell as well as the people at doll shows do.
I'm a bit obssessive, and when I could I based RWT things on real places I've been. (For example, Kim knew exactly where the playground I was thinking of was when Keigo went to rescue Yuuta since we'd both been there before.) But it's nice to have actual pictures of the real places. ^_^
Yeah, I know a few people who get motion sickness and it doesn't sound like fun. I've been blessed with a very strong stomach in regards to things like that.

Date: 2004-08-17 06:39 pm (UTC)I always appreciate hearing that someone reads the RP and I strive to try and make the chatlogs readable and to keep a linear timeline. (It's why nothing is happening right now, but I hope to get up a few logs soon.)
I think some people have it so severe that even closing one's eyes doesn't help. ^^;
Do you get motion sick from video games? The one thing that makes me really really ill are those circle screen films/180 films where they make you think you're moving over something but in fact you're standing completely still. BTW you're in NY aren't you?

Date: 2004-08-18 08:52 pm (UTC)I think the movies make me sick because they give the feeling of moving except without any movement. (motion simulator rides don't make me sick cause they jerk you around, I also don't find many of them very believeable. ^^; )
Awww I'm from downstate, but I've been to parts of upstate.
