Jun. 3rd, 2009 09:34 amThe bagels turned out surprisingly good, though I think next time I need to bake them longer to make the outside crisper. The inside had the right texture though which is a major accomplishment. I also baked some cookies.. because I needed cookies.
I harvest my first cauliflower head! I forgot to cover it so it did not blanch properly and I will need to be more careful with the newest head. It tasted fine cooked but was a little mealy raw.
Cookie and Basil have a vet appointment later today. Shhhhhh don't tell them.

Around here I am convinced that the garlic is keeping out the critters. I'm planning to grow a wall of it around my mom's come Fall. Luckily, I feel like you can enver have enough garlic lol
