With a wood burning stove, one adds wood through a flap in the top. In our case it is a griddle so I guess technically we could cook pancakes on or stove or I've been to known to make quesedillas or in one huge accident last year, cook pizza until it erupted into flames >>; While loading wood I managed to hit something which caused the griddle to suddenly come crashing down.. on my arm. Burning hot heavy metal hitting one's arm is not a happy experience. Thankfully the burn could have been a lot worse. I rushed it under cold water repeated and now am putting burn cream on it, but it aches a little.
In happy news for my meme: カ16A!!!!!!!!!!!
To go along with that I'm still playing around with my trip to Japan. I want to do something other than fangirly, something I've preferably not done before and I also want to get some temple/shrine stamps for my new book. The problem, it is looking like I want to fly in and out of Osaka because it is cheapest and the fact that we are talking about Japan in January. lol
So along with the idea of trying to see if I can get into to see Saihoji in Kyoto...

Osaka sounds awesome! Did you see that episode of Anthony Bourdain's 'No Reservations' where he eats his way thru all the different food stalls & cafes in Osaka?

Date: 2008-12-10 05:22 am (UTC)Osaka is awesome! :D I can not imagine eating my way through Osaka though, it would take more than a year and I think it would leave me feeling sick lol Last trip I went to a great Indian place and I know an OK Mexican place there too. I like this one veggie place, and this chain called Pastel that serves pasta. There is also this amazing dessert crepe place lol
I need to book my hotels! >>;
