So, here is the entry I think most of you have been waiting for..

I first want to start this post my apologizing to the people I was going to get things for. I did get things for you for the most part, but Doll Show ended up being a bust because of either imposed limits or my own stupidity. I am still kicking myself over the amazing MSD seamstress who sold out, but more determined than ever that I make it to her booth next trip to Japan. (Kyoto or Doll Show!)

I got to the Hamamatsucho at 6:45 only to have an employee announce to my horror that numbers (as well as admission) wouldn't be given out until 8:00. Grrrrr and there were no more than 100 people there. After waiting 15 minutes, I rushed back to the hotel, to make sure I was checked out and raced back to the event. At about 8:00 they did give out numbers and my lottery # was 90. Not the best, but not anywhere near as bad as it could have been. At this point in time, I had semi-given up on getting a unoa since I was unable to figure out where Hobby Doll would be and had even asked a Japanese person for some help to no avail. Having forgotten which coffee shop was near the station, I walked up thinking it was Seattle's Best (I knew it was not Starbucks) only to find it was Tully's. And all their special drinks were marron. *wrinkles nose* I turned back around, when I ran into the people from Lemonade Doll, who Kyon had introduced me to last trip to Japan. They know some English and were quite friendly and I showed them my number and how I had marked their booth on my program. Then, much to my shock, they offered me a Dealer's Pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! In all my trips to events, I've never been offered a Dealer's Pass before, and I was not about to miss out on this opportunity. I thanked them immensely, and walked into the event with them and was given a small green slip with their booth's name and mine written below it. I was informed that I had to stay on the 5th floor for 15 minutes before I could visit other floors, but the 5th floor was where Hitomiya was, so I had no problem. lol We got there bright and early and I got to see the room bare. I did try to help with set up, but I only know so much Japanese and could only help so much, so I wandered about the 5th floor.

It was then I discovered that Hobby Doll was ON THE 5th FLOOR *__________* I also found this circle doing adorable mini size outfits that were only 3500 yen and would have been perfect for Syuusuke (not that I own him) and the perfect outfit for Kim and I was just very *_________* I took some photos, and as soon as the show opened, went to the Unoa line. (This is when I ought to have bought the 3500 yen outfit since it was on my way.) For some reason I am not sure of, Kyon was helping with the Unoas and for those curious Araki Gentarou was there. (more on him later) The line moved very quickly since there were only a handful of people ahead of people and I took out my money and bought Cream and Mocha. I then raced to Hitomiya. (this is when I ought to have bought Kim her outfit.) I waited on line, got to the table, only to find out they were only letting one buy 5 pairs of eyes o_O Trying to pick just 5 pairs was torture, sheer torture, and how I longed to have a friend with me to have gotten 5 more pairs. By the time I went back to the two above booths post Hitomiya, they were sold out. Feeling dejected, I went down to the 3rd floor to see what was for sale and to start taking pictures. NDR had pretty much all the PFs for sale including discontinued Aroa, Momo, and Peter, though oddly the Momo I sold was cuter. I took pictures of booths, but nothing really appealed to me. The same was true of the 4th floor, though I bought the new VdR there and bought a few eyes from Silver. They had some lovely eyes, but all the really nice ones were full price, aka 6000 yen, having gone up 1000 yen from Dolpa. Other than taking a ton of pictures I need to edit, I can't really say how I spent the next few hours. I did eventually go back to see Araki-san, to see if I could get a picture with him. He said no, but insisted on taking a picture of me with his Araki stand in, a 5 inch plush doll with a penis. In fact there was a 6 inch plush penis on display as well. It was then I knew Araki-san really was a huge pervert and it warmed the cockles of my heart. I saw Akiyo, my friend from Sato and talked to her a bit, and searched the 4th floor fruitlessly for ALG before remembering they were on the 3rd. (Though I didn't buy anything)

Overall, other than my Unoas, my Doll Show haul was quit small, but considering I still had to get back to Wakayama-ken AND I still had a rollaway full of doujinshi, it didn't seem so heart breaking. I am really hoping that I am more together for Kyoto Dolpa and that I can talk some of my friends into attending since it's not so far. I am also secretly hoping to impress them into going to Dolpa for GW. I find it so hard to keep track of the circles I like for doll things now.

Anyway must go and move my laundry to the dryer so I can finish packing. I can't believe I leave Japan in 7 hours! o_O I am flying from KIX to SFO and then SFO to JFK. It's a bit overwhelming, but I now have Keroro to watch on the SFO to JFK bit. (though I half regret not buying the playsets, but that is what begging Jenn is for lol)

The Araki stand-in doll is called Seishi-kun, which roughly means "sperm". The girl version has only appeared in the comics that he occasionally publishes on his site... I think she has pink hair and is named Ranko-chan ("Egg").

I'm sorry that you missed out on some things... but it sounds like you had an amazing time!
