O'Hare

To all the people I owe responses to on LJ, I'm sorry. ^^;; I ran out of time and had to pack. My flight left LaGuardia at 8:00 am so I had to be there by 6:30ish. I'm currently using the $7 for all day wireless at O'Hare but it is rather spotty and only works so well. But when it works, it is so worth the $7 since I have a 2+ hour layover.

So, I'm in O'Hare and hopefully will soon be winging my way to Osaka. I am excited and nervous and full of jitters.

[livejournal.com profile] becroberts I did get the DVD, thank you so so so so much! *_* I hope I am able to watch it soon.

I think I am getting the Sentinel on one of my flights, I am amused since it is like 24 Season 5 the movie. At least according to TWOP.

Okay, I suck and the dessert place is in Shibuya, not Ginza. Doh!

It's called Mamido's Burger, and it's supposed to be right in front of Shibuya Station (like it's not crowded enough already with the Hachiko statue and eveyrthing ;P)

http://web-japan.org/trends/lifestyle/lif051221.html

Konpeito place is Ryoku Ju An Shimizu.

http://www.konpeito.co.jp/tenpo.html (location, although the map is in Japanese)

Here's a page in English with info on Ryokujuan Shimizu:

Hope you have a great time in Japan!

OMG you are so amazing! O_O

I am so going to now have to bring you back konpeito from there. lol

Besides, this is my best chance to do unique bithday and holiday shopping since I am probably not going back to Japan again until 2007. lol

Thank you and Shibuya is good! Other than the Indian place I love, I am not so much a Ginza type of person. lol

XD;;;;

I suspect I shall once I get past my jetlag. Though I made it through customs and got my luggage in under 30 minutes, and had time to go to the exchange office, get my rental cell, get my rail pass, and to Starbucks, before my 5:00 bus! <333

*waves* Have a good trip! Looks like we're having a pleasant day here in the midwest (at least in Iowa, which usually gets the same weather as Chicago, just a few hours earlier), so hopefully, no delays!

Heard good reviews on The Sentinel.

(PS: You did get that money I sent to Kennis' account, right?)

The weather seemed lovely at both airports I spent time in. It's rather warm in Osaka, so it's like taking a vacation back into summer. I know I am just going to be freezing when I get back to NY.

And yes, I did get the money, have email printed and I hope to go Thurs or Fri of next week. :)

Oh good, it survived the chaos at the Post Office ^_^

Have a fabulous Japan trip and I hope you will definitely have the joys of Kiefer Sutherland on one of your flights. *hugs*

And yes pkg arrived and now it is the chaos of my life. lol I hope to watch it once things settle some.

Thanks! I know you not so long ago had some long flights yourself.

It's nice, going back I go through San Fran, which is only 7 hours from Osaka and then from San Fran to NY I get a plug, so that flight will go very fast. lol

Ooh, heh. Nice. Yeah, 13 hours on a plane would tiring. Hopefully security won't be annoying coming back though; some of the new regulations make me raise my eyebrow at them.

Coming back I just really need to do Customs in the US, which is generally a relatively not so bad. The biggest problem will be waiting on the long lines to go back through security when I transfer to domestic. It's a bit ~.~ because of course I picked up something that can't go through security between Customs and my next flight. lol

Nooooooo I didn't get anything lol

When I went through Chicago, after customs, one has to take a shuttle back to the main terminal and just go back through security. lol I find it annoying since it would be awful hard to pick something up and would prefer to skip the security line since it takes me forever to take off my shoes get out my laptop, etc. I think going through security once, in KIX, would be nicer. lol
