I'm in rather a bind, my job will not take no, or rather that I am quitting for an answer. However, it seems the job is not the only one...

I came back from lunch yesterday to find a small note sitting on my desk which read:

"I like you" signed by our 20 something client who was attending a meeting in the other room. Later when the lawyers weren't looking he made kissing expressions at me.

For those who don't know, I am married. I've been married a long long time.

This afternoon, he was back in the office and we were alone. He asked me if I got his note, to which I replied I had, but that I was really sorry but in fact I am married. This did not seem to phase him and he declared he had no interest in marrying me but just wanted to know if we could go out. o_O I spent the next 20 minutes or so trying to politely explain, that I am in fact married, while he continued to try to convince me to just go on one date with him.

On one hand, it is highly amusing. On another it is really rather... odd.

Hopefully, he has realized this is not going to happen, and I won't get stuck alone with him again.

Lately, I've fallen for higher end fashion. I use to be content with Gap and the occasional item from J.Crew, but lately I've discovered the joy of ultra discounted fancier designers from Lord and Taylor's. I now have to Cynthia Steffe skirts, a DKNY blazer and a pair of DKNY clam diggers. *blinks* I think I have fallen madly for Cynthia Steffe and I shall be haunting eBay to add more to my wardrobe. I'm also rather fond of the DKNY things I bought. I'd love to find a pair of simple black trousers. *____* Or skirts! Lately, I've fallenf or skirts, though when Fall comes I will need tights or stockings since I will not be able to go bare legged with sandals anymore.

I think I am going to spend 3 days in Tokyo, or at least 3 nights. I know one day will be mostly taken up by Doll Show and the others are still open to figure out. I know I want to go to K-books, the Volks in Harajuku, the Volks in Akihabara, Nakano, and maybe the Animate in Ikebukuro. I'd also love to get in some non-hobby shopping.

I'm pleased as punch about spending several days with [livejournal.com profile] muscatlove and [livejournal.com profile] yanchamonkey. Next week, I ought to start prepping for the trip, which means finding my bilingual atlas, which means cleaning the guest room, which means finally re-organizing my site. Fun.

Happy Belated Birthday to [livejournal.com profile] sailorstarsun :)

... Boo on the job, but an even bigger boo on the idiot who's trying to date you! I don't know what to tell him except what you already have, and definitely try not to get stuck with him again. If it gets worse, though, I'd report him to... somebody, or something. o.O;

Whoa. Okay, he brings it up once, you say no (hell, no!) and it should end right there. If he brings it up again, report him for sexual harrasment. You shouldn't have to put up with that kind of thing at work, especially if you are happily married!

PS--that guy is an idiot! He should have stopped the minute you said you were married! When I was single, I did that once--told a guy I liked him, only to find out he was married (although this didn't happen at work, I knew him through my karate dojo). The minute he said he was, I went beet-red and apologized. He thought it was sweet, and we stayed friends afterwards.

Kennis can be a pain, but I don't really want anyone else. lol I consider myself off the market.

I mean it's one thing if you flirt with someone unknowingly and then find out, that is sort of flattering and cute. But he even said he thought I *MIGHT* be married when I tried to explain that it was not going to happen.

Ah well, hopefully I won't be alone with him again.

I'm sorry, did you say the guy was twenty, or twelve?

:p Seriously, passing you NOTES? Asking you to go on a date with him? That's so inappropriate on every level, including the not taking "no" for an answer.

Hope you have lots of fun in Japan!

The not taking no was just highly.. surprising. I seriously don't think I've ever had someone hit on me that hard before and it's really a bit awkward when you're alone with them and want to look at gay porn pictures on Yaoi!Gallery get work done.

and I am so so so so excited about Japan. I made reservations for 1 night in Kyoto and 3 nights in Tokyo.

But is he cute? ;D

I'm totally kidding. Gah, hopefully he doesn't continue to pursue this. Wait, your job won't let you quit? I don't understand.

He's not really my type. :P I much prefer the waif look on guys, it's probably one reason I like those anime guys so much. lol

And yes my job won't let me quit, they've made me promise to stay on until I get back to Japan at the earliest.

hopefully, I won't have to see this client again. XD;;
