Tea Party Plans

Plans for the Tea Party:

Take an 11:20 train into NYC, with hopes of getting to karaoke for an hour or two before the tea party. <333 The place muscatlove taught me about in NYC is right near FIT, and it is a great place to rest with dolls before the party.

In honor of karaoke, I broke out some lyric sheets and decided to try some songs.


"There's Me" - Starlight Express
Wow, I had no idea it was so low o_O I don't think I can sing it! *blinks*

"Defying Gravity, No Good Deed" - Wicked
Like a TM Revolution song, the rhythm is funky and not overly melodic on them, making them much harder to sing than one would think.

"The Internet is for Porn" - Avenue Q
I can do a Kate Monster imitation, but really you need someone deep to be Trekkie. lol

I probably ought to try "Empty Chairs at Empty Tables" since a little wangst is fun.

I also tried "Realize" by Tamaki Nami, and wow, it is way easier to sing than "Reason" because it doesn't have those wacky high notes.

The real question is what current pop songs can we do and what older songs. A part of me is itching to sing "Right Here Waiting" by Richard Marx or "Gone" by Kelly Clarkson or "Right Here" by Staind (notice a theme)



sumeragiskank gets here in about 5 1/2 hours and the house is a disaster because I am only so fond of cleaning. This is not good.

United plans to stop flight 800 NRT to JFK. This leaves me wondering if I should still try to fly out of NRT, since presumably I will have a pass. For those who don't know, NRT==Narita, KIX==Kansai, and LGA==LaGuardia

Also, I love the new Yos Chinatsu and Kuuta. Is it bad when I see the name "Kuuta" I think the secret lovechild produced that one summer by Kuuma/Shuuta? lol (though wow the boy is uke!) I think all other doll plans are goingon hold while I try to afford them both. ^^;; Though on the bright side, if they are as cute as they look in pictures, it kills my interest in a Yuki and they're bound to be way cheaper.

Yeah, Chinatsu/Kuuta fill the Yuki hole in my heart quite nicely. I *almost* wish I'd waited to get that Custom House petite... but then I remember that Chinatsu and Kuuta are normal skin, and I was looking for a white skinned tiny. I will have to satisfy myself by looking at other people's Chinatsu and Kuuta dollies!

OK, good, I'm glad it's not just me who thinks they look similar to Yuki. I really think the eye and mouth shape is rather similar. And since I would want my Yuki to have a sex, it seems rather ideal for me. ^^;;

Though I admit I can't decide which I would prefer since both have pluses. A boy because I already have a girl, a girl because I already have things she can wear/fit in.

I voted going through SFO to JFK, only because Chicago inevitably has delays, and it is a real headache to go through. Unfortunately, because of the ways the planes work here, ALL the flights from Dubuque go through Chicago now. What a pain! I used to fly through Minneapolis simply because it avoided the problems in Chicago.

I've not been through SFO lately, but I have flown into there a few times in years past, and never had a problem.

Yeah that is part of my concern, Chicago gets a lot of delays and LGA gets a lot of delays. JFK gets fewer.

Other pluses of SFO, is if i get stuck there, my sister is in SFO and my sister in law is in Oakland. And finally, PS service means a laptop plug from San Fran to JFK, so a chance to recharge my laptop or at least watch movies. It just means I am likely to spend only a very limited time in Tokyo. Of course having been to just Tokyo on a few trips, it doesn't seem such a loss. lol

BTW, just to warn you, I have heard terrible things about flying Northwest to Japan.

It's not that I don't like the size so much as Anne's face was too big for me and then the Bambi Croney wasn't as good quality, and then I was upset I had bought and sold two dolls in such a short time. I don't think I can afford to buy Chinatsu at this point though, after Toppi ^^; I dont think I like her default paint that much, but her face is so cute... like a cross between Yuki and MSD Midori.

I just realized at this point that I've bought 7 dolls and sold 5 of them o.O Luckily I only lost money one of them (Bambi Croney) and actually made a little money on two, so I've come out okay. But I still feel a little bad -.- I do hope to get another Narae in the future.
