Please Note: this entry is meant purely for sympathy for me, and not for any other purpose. :P

We are still without power, we have no estimate for when it will be back. Our hot water is electric. Last night I spent an hour cleaning out the fridge and freezer. I had to toss all my remaining strawberries.














They're saying now it could have been a small tornado or a microburst. Oh goody.

My one piece of amusement was watching the school buses full of campers have to make u-turns when they got to then end of my street and discovered the taped off area still there. Heh.

Con-Ed claims it might take until Sunday for some people to get power back, I fear I am one of them. God only knows about the phone/FiOs line. I hope they restring it at the same time or soon after.

Thank god for Starbucks and free wireless.

Wow. Everyone's lucky the trees fell into the street and not the other way. Here's hoping the power-fixing people get their act together promptly :)
