I have to get a birthday gift together before Fri morning so that it will hopefully reach its destination in time. I had a lot of good ideas for gifts, one of which is sitting in another friend's apartment because I forgot to say something about it. The other half I still have to get together. I know some of the things I want to get, but it's getting them together. I think bicycling is out tomorrow morning, which is probably best in the short term.

Since I was playing with my scanner tonight, I decided to scan some doujinshi covers so I can brag about some of the more interesting things I own. For the record, none of these doujinshi are smutty as far as I know, it's more the subject matter which makes them fascinating.

Les Miserables, the musical, doujinshi. lol This one is mostly gag, and from the art it looks based on the 10th Anniversary cast.

Another Les Miserables doujinshi I own. I really like the art in this one, it's very Javert-centric. Most of it though seems to be the circle's views on the production/cast.

I also wanted to share the wonderful puzzle, muscatlove made for me!!! At Muji, one of our favorite stores, you can buy cool things, like a make your own puzzle.

I have not climbed real Mt. Fuji, though I've seen it quite often. It's so impressive when you can see it from Tokyo cause it's just so BIG!

Cherries! I adore cherries! I went whale watching in Maine, but it made Kennis puke, so we prob won't go again. My in-laws live in like the middle of Utah, so they see stars a lot, but I live in NY, so...

OK which hikes have drop offs? I am scared of heights lol

Frodo/Sam and Legolas/Gimli were my first slash pairings in Jr. High lol I have such a soft spot for them. (and the movies were SO Frodo/Sam *_* )

Now to figure out how to get this in 2 week! BTW, y'alls drive on the wrong side, right? 12 1/2 hours from LA is not bad. Not sure where we would change planes from NY. Maybe we could all meet in LAX since the in laws will prob fly in there from UT and sister in law can come down from San Fran.

I'm so excited!!! *hugs*

You're welcome. ^__^ I take it that Fuji-san is way, way bigger than Taranaki (but similarly shaped)...interestingly, Maori consider the mountains to be spiritual entities kind of like how Japanese do. Oh, the only hikes you'd need to be dropped off would be the South Island's mountainous regions - I can assure you all the hiking I've ever done has been feet firmly on the ground. ;) Yes, when driving keep LEFT - & the cars here have right-hand steering wheels...it was so funny last year when I was in Baltimore, I kept trying to get into taxis on the left-hand door while the driver would be waiting for me on the right-hand door. Oops, heh heh.^^
