I have to get a birthday gift together before Fri morning so that it will hopefully reach its destination in time. I had a lot of good ideas for gifts, one of which is sitting in another friend's apartment because I forgot to say something about it. The other half I still have to get together. I know some of the things I want to get, but it's getting them together. I think bicycling is out tomorrow morning, which is probably best in the short term.

Since I was playing with my scanner tonight, I decided to scan some doujinshi covers so I can brag about some of the more interesting things I own. For the record, none of these doujinshi are smutty as far as I know, it's more the subject matter which makes them fascinating.

Les Miserables, the musical, doujinshi. lol This one is mostly gag, and from the art it looks based on the 10th Anniversary cast.

Another Les Miserables doujinshi I own. I really like the art in this one, it's very Javert-centric. Most of it though seems to be the circle's views on the production/cast.

I also wanted to share the wonderful puzzle, muscatlove made for me!!! At Muji, one of our favorite stores, you can buy cool things, like a make your own puzzle.

I want to see Producers doujinshi! When Daniel and I saw The Producers (recent movie, not original) I was telling him about how there TOTALLY had to be slash fics/doujinshi where everyone was bishonen-ified.

I think the server was down for a bit, try looking again now. If not, when I see you in person, remind me and I will bring the doujinshi! <3333 (Actually, I will bring it no matter what so you can read it. lol ) I bought it on a whim because the art was sort of pretty, and it was such a surprise.

I haven't seen the new version, just the old, and they are slashing Bialystock with someone, but not Bloom. Bloom is REALLY uke looking though. lol

Ee! Pictures are working now! It sounds like Max is being slashed with Carmen Ghia (sp?) which seems... silly. BialystockxBloom OTP! Even more so in the original movie, where Max essentially romances Leo!

The new movie is lots of fun, although my husband (who saw the musical on Broadway) seemed to think Uma Thurman wasn't a good choice for Ulla.

Yes I would think BialystockxBloom is the more obvious pairing, but people can be odd. lol

In the original Ulla is only in it for like 5 seconds it seems lol Most of the movie concentrates on Max and Leo.

Slash gives whole new meaning to the song "Prisoners of Love" lol
