rkoldThe last two mornings I've gotten up 2 hours before the sun so that I can go to Comiket. This entailed leaving the hotel when it was still dark and arriving at Big Sight when it was still dark. It is not for the faint of heart.
I am reading people's LJs, I am reading your comments, I am not responding at this time cause my connection is flakey and I am still on vacation. I do appreciate the comments so please do leave them.
Yesterday was my big series day. Unfortunately nearly everything I wanted to see was yesterday, it made for lots of running around. We got there nice and early, but were towards the back of our column so were wanting in the space department. We also accidentally went to the right, so got shunted onto the 2nd floor West hall. For Dolpa, this was not a problem, for Comiket it was. Halls 3+4 of the West Hall were video games and official publications and actual series and stuff. It was *NOT* where we wanted to be, since the press to buy hentai games was terrible. So despite being near the front, we didn't actually get to the East Halls where we wanted to be until about 20 minutes later. ~.~ I then spent 1 hour waiting on line to get the newest Kashi books. Yes, 1 hour. But I got the new bag and the new calendar so it was so so so so worth it. In fact the only Seed thing I know I wanted and missed was the new catboy Kira one by that porny circle whose name I've forgotten. In this 3rd installment, Kira is a catboy in a nurse's uniform. Luckily, I have high hopes that I will see it at Animate. I have a huge new pile of Seed stuff, and I even got a pretty Kira sketch from @Cresc. one of my new favorite circles. They do lovely AsuKira and ShinnKira and most of their books have sex <3333
While Seed was smaller than I thought it should be, it was still hugely popular with lots of long lines. This was not the case with PoT which was smaller and seemed generally less popular. In fact when I went there late, a lot of circles were closing, and not because they had sold out. Though I got my wish thanks to WIR, a tiny panel of Doctor Yagyuu giving crying shota Yuuta a shot. Wheeee YuuYuu! <3
Other series I looked at included FMA (can we say KimberlyxGreed porn?), Clamp, Loveless, Naruto (no purchases though), and Harry Potter.
Today was the mostly Hentai porn day, which meant horrible lines of men trying to get hentai clogging up EVERYTHING >.< It's not that I would deny them their hentai, but can't their lines be better organized!?!?! I wanted to go through the movie and TV section. I saw 24 yaoi smut doujinshi, but they were text only. My heart aches at the how close and yet how far I am. The doujinshika had not seen season 4 yet, and I can only hope the true love that is Jack/Paul inspires them. I saw tons of Trek, but resisted and was not assimilated. I accidentally bought a HUGE Qui Gon x Obi Wan doujinshi, (or at least I think that is the pairing I had thought it was Obi x Anakin until I looked closer ^^;; ) so if anyone is interested in buying it... I also bought several pretty Les Miserables doujinshi and a Producers doujinshi. I saw Nadir x Phatom smut doujinshi, but didn't flip through them cause the concept just sort of had me going o_O I so love this section though.
I also went through the random cute things section where I resisted the handmade teddy bears, soap, and jewelry, but found a cute Yo!SD outfit. (I think made by the same people who made the outfit for my One-Off!) I also got the new Kouga Yun pattern book/illustration/photobook. Go me! I also got a random Higuri You Gakuen Heaven illustrated book, a Zero Sum Calendar (official from the Zero Sum booth), and the most adorable mug that shows and cat and a chick and says Tabemasu mikan? OMG cute cats, cute chicks and mikan!!!! *________*
Now, to figure out how to get it all home!
