In some sort of horrible joke, we have snow. ~.~ Any love I had for snow is long gone. The only good thing is it's not a lot and not sticking to the road. Grrrr

This recipe is courtesy of one of my favorite baking books, Rosie's All-Butter Fresh Cream Sugar-Packed No-Holds Barred Baking Book I got it as a wedding gift many years ago. I do alter the recipe some cause I am just that type
2 cups plus 1 T of flour
1 t baking soda
a dash of salt (I think most recipes are too salty)
1 cup or 2 sticks of butter (if salted omit salt)
1 cup plus 1T of brown sugar
1/2 cup of white sugar
1 t vanilla extract, preferably the real stuff
2 large eggs at room temperature
12 oz. of chocolate chip.
1) Preheat oven to 375 and grease two cookie sheets.
2) Cream together the butter and sugars
3) Mix in the vanilla and the eggs until the mixture is uniform.
4) Mix together the flour, salt if necessary, and baking soda.
5) Stir in chips!
6) Drop by rounded teaspoons on cookie sheet. A standard US baking sheet should have 12 cookies on it, just give each cookie at least 1-2 inches from the next nearest one.
7) Bake 10 minutes.
8) Let cool 15 minutes before trying to remove, once cool, put more batter on the sheets and continue until all batter is gone. I usually get 5 dozen.
Hints:
Let the butter sit out for a while so it's not hard as a rock. Use fresh (i.e. new) butter, butter than has been sitting a month or two in your fridge won't taste as good.
Let the eggs get to room temperature it makes your cookies rise better.

I'm still debating who/what I should buy in Japan and I really want Roa and Roel. If I ordered them today they would even arrive before I left... but no.. I ought to wait to see if I get lucky with Japan. It just breaks my heart because Roa is so cute!
I'm seriously considering getting a SD-13 boy. ^^;; I feel evil. BTW if I were to get a MSD FCS for parts is there a particular head someone on my flist would want? ^^;

Date: 2005-12-04 07:09 pm (UTC)If I order on the 18th, he should be ready mid to late Jan, since FCS takes a month usually in Japan. It took nearly 1 month exactly for Hiroshi and Yuuta and I had them sanded as well.

But, when it comes down to it, I'd be happy with just the head ^^;
As for the faceup, the face should be pretty girly and pink (light pink lips) with natural eyebrows and black eyelashes I think I'd be good. If they ask what sort of personality she would have, kind and demure is what I had in mind~♥
