So, I'm sitting around my house playing with my computer before I need to get ready to meet with my grandmother so I call my husband, who tells me the Synagogue burned down. O_O WTH?!?! While I'm not overly religious, it's very, well, startling. I don't even want to think about all the problems this causes. Fortunately, all the people who were inside the building at the time escaped without any injuries and they were able to rescue the Torahs, but damn, we've lost our building! It's weird.
After spending the morning confused and shocked, I went to meet my grandmother and take her to the real estate agent's office. She spent most of the trip telling me I was driving too fast. ^^;; We then went by the house she is selling. If they ever need a set for something taking place in the 1970's I would recommend this house, lots of brown, avocado, and gold. It seemed smaller and mustier than I remembered, but I guess time does that to things.
I had originally planned to complain about characterization and getting rejected from Matchpoint, but I sort of feel like maybe I shouldn't after what happened to the synagogue. At some future point in time, I am going to rant about these issues as it really bothers me that someone who is having Syuusuke use "Yuu-chan" thinks my application was OOC. >.< (And they have the wrong date for Syuu's birthday. ^^; *sighs* ) I admit I'm sure it was meant nicely, but it did piss me off to be told I have a good grasp of the language. >.< Because while yes, I might not be the most talented writer, I WOULD HOPE I could write in English since I did score in the top 90-something percentile on my SATs, before they got watered down again, and I did manage to graduate from a top tier college. *sighs*

Date: 2003-09-10 09:33 pm (UTC)I do try hard not to be OOC most of the time. I'm currently in the midst of a huge Fujicesty epic. ^^;
OH! I keep meaning to tell you, I *ADORE* Hankupanku High! I read it before I knew you and was terribly amused. I actually find crossovers fun. ^_^ I admit, I'm rooting for NagixOmi/OmixNagi ^o^ I also sort of think HiroxKen would be fun but I don't know if it will happen. Brad makes me laugh so hard in the fic, and the seiyuucest kills me.
