Shell Shocked

First I had no phone service for a bunch of days.
I finally get back phone and then lost power yesterday during the Blackout of 2004. I was rather fortunate and got it back sometime early this morning. (Between 11:30 pm and 5:30 am) Since I've adjusted pretty well to the heat I wasn't bothered by not having air conditioned. Plus Kennis' laptop was working so we watched a few episodes of Fruits Basket together since I actually own the first DVD. It was fun because Kennis likes Fruits Basket. sumeragiskank that Kyou is uke and Yuki would be seme.
And finally... the wedding Kennis and I were going to this week end was cancelled. So I now own a bridesmaid dress I don't like for a wedding that will never take place. I think it's good that this happened before they got married but still it's very shocking. I'm trying to see if Kennis can bring back the tux as paying to rent a tux for the week end seems a waste now. I never think of it as that big an accomplishment that Kennis and I are still married after 8 years but maybe it is. I mean we were quite young when we got married and we've both grown and changed since then, and yet we stay together and if anything we love each other more now. I can't imagine how much it must suck for the bride and groom to have to call everyone who was supposed to attend their wedding tomorrow and tell them the wedding is cancelled. O_O
On a lighter note, we have two rabbits that live in our yard. I named the first one Kikumaru a while ago because it just reminded me of Eiji from PoT. It's sort of lazy and athletic and bounces about our yard. Since Kikumaru was with another larger rabbit today I've decided to name that one Oishi.

I will be a bridesmaid myself in about a month. Here I was thinking what a waste it will be to wear that expensive dress only once. I guess I should be thankful if I get to wear it at all!
I am still in shock even now...
