Yes, I'm alive
Oct. 29th, 2004 09:03 pmAnd I've managed to survive our recent spate of earthquakes. I've also now lived many X fangirl's dream and I was actally visiting Sunshine 60 when the first (and largest) of the recent earthquakes hit. Clamp might have something about Sunshine 60 being some sort of cornerstone, cause it really didn't shake all that much. In fact the major way I discovered we were having an earthquake was my Frappacino refused to stay on the table and get trying to slide into my lap. ^^;;
Let's see, today I went to visit Studio Alta in Shinjuku and I think I had a brush with stardom. Some Security guard cordoned off 2 or 3 cute young Japanese guys from a bunch of school girls as they exited the store and rushed into a waiting van. Makes me think J-pop/J-rock people or maybe actors? While at Studio Alta, I saw the brand new SDs/MSDs and hmmmm Kun is gorgeous, Yuri (I think that is her name) has too much make-up for my tastes, Link is all right, and Kohaku looks WAY better in person (and with a brown wig) then he looked in the pictures I saw on Volk's site. I can't wait to visit the Akihabara branch and see if there are more dolls to see.
I bought the ShusukexYuta trading card and the beach card of them. *big shock*
I've bought waaaaaay too many doujinshi, mostly of the Rikkai variety and mostly involving either Yagyuu or Niou. Speaking of Rikkai..it seems there is a school in the Tokyo area called Rikkyo, and it looks rather prestigious (it was founded in 1896 according to the writing on the school crests) and interestingly enough their school uniform looks JUST LIKE the ones for Rikkai... hmmmmmmmm*is amused* The two boys from the school were also quite adorable.
I've discovered Muji and rather desperately want a cashmere scarf from there. *wonders if they take US credit cards and wonders if they don't if maybe Uni Qlo does...* I bought a Strawberry Fanta to try.
I had lots of fun at Comic City. I bought Greed pr0n, yes, it does exist and in most cases was really really wrong. I have not yet seen Kimberly doujinshi, though maybe he appears in the my Scar uke doujinshi I bought today. XD I wish I could find EdxAl.. all I see is AlxEd and I prefer the other way. I saw the new Seed calendar, I'm waiting for the second PoT one, so I can get both cause Yuuta looks too adorable in both of them. I need Fuji and Saeki playing pool at either the Atobe pool hall or the Hyoutei club house for Yuuta because it is just too amusingly wrong. Smaller Comic Cities are nice, the lines for the big circles are way smaller, though of course many circles also don't pick to show up.
I NEED MFDB Licca #13. SO CUTE!!!! The price has gone up to 1500 yen, but GAAAAH I need how to make costumes from Fairytales/Children's books. ^o^ I'm not impressed with Takumi. I LIKE anime characters and I think he's just sort of ehhhhh. Sayuri is so pretty in real life and I adore her outfit. *wishes TRU had her.* MFDB #18 for Jenny was out and looked interesting.
And a very happy belated birthday to
katsuchan,

ginarolo and a happy early birthday to

Have fun in Japan!
Date: 2004-10-30 12:56 am (UTC)And take a special look at Kaede if she is on display. She is suppose to be very special. But slightly smaller than MSD.
Thanks for remembering my birthday.
Re: Have fun in Japan!

Date: 2004-11-07 12:15 pm (UTC)If you're going to 冬コミ (Fuyu Komi -> Winter Comiket), I'd say, stop by HYS or Heppoko Alchemist table. Both are [mostly] exclusive Ed × Al (well I know HYS is exclusive, but Heppoko Alchemist did a slight variation...Al × Ed sexual but Ed × Al feeling) and they have great/cute artwork to boot. There are other circles I like -- 重慶花園 (who also does very nice GreedAl illustration), 夢綴館, Koihime, Hakkeido Housekiten, and Zerosiki Hevens...
