One year ago today...

I was at the Birthing Center resting with my newborn daughter snuggled against me. Thank you so much for being a part of my life, my darling little one. I know most of you out in LJland don't want a baby, but I am very grateful I get to share my life with this one.

Sorry I've been so quiet, we've been super busy with holidays, the baby, and getting ready to visit the in laws. I'm really hoping to get some me-time and relaxation time while we are away.

Happy Birthday Adina<3 I had to show Masa the picture and she said: Ookinatta na! Adina-chan hayaku aitai naaaa. (She's gotten so big. I want to meet her!)

While the only little people in my life are the dolls (and maybe Okaasan since she's pretty small and expensive) it's great to be able to hear about your little one and see pics as she gets bigger and passes milestones.

I want you and Masa to meet her too! I am determined to get her a passport to start that process. She has gotten much bigger though she is on the tiny side for the US. It makes it easier to carry her though XD;

Dolls are nice little people, they're expensive but they don't tend to outgrow their clothes so much. Of course I enjoy buying all sorts of fun clothes for the baby or I should say toddler!

I am so jealous of you though and the fact you made it back to Japan lol

You will be happy to know your dress and tights which were a little big on her last year, now look absolutely smashing on her and have become a favorite dress to stick her in with our chilly weather. :D (They're up to 20lbs and she is 16 1/2)

It's amazing how babies grow and change and really become their own separate people. I feel very lucky to have a child in my life, even when she has spent 1 hour awake in the middle of the night pulling my hair and sticking fingers up my nose.
