Yeah this is a Facebook Meme (stolen from Jason and Stacie) but it is amusing so I am sharing it on LJ as well.

I rarely do these things, but this one is kind of fun: I would like my LJ friends to comment on this status, sharing how you met me. But I want you to LIE. That's right, just make it up. After you comment, copy this to your status, so... I can do the same.

We met at winter Comiket, both of us selling yaoi doujin with our tables right next to each other. We joked that staff put the foreigners together and bonded over being the only fujoshi gaijin selling there. You introduced me to Kyon, who happened to be passing and we all ended up getting tea and yummy baked goods at this lovely place around the corner. The weather was mildly cool but rainy, and the sky was dreary but the air so crisp and fresh. We exchanged email addresses then took hilarious purikura, promising each other that we would keep in touch.

That was such a great day, it's too bad Kyon wasn't able to introduce us to Kouga Yun like she had wanted.

I think it was actually originally a livejournal meme. At least, I first saw it on lj almost ten years ago. :)

BTW, the first person that I saw upon stepping off of the UFO was you. That's how we met, all those years ago.

Maybe that is why I missed it, I'm only coming up on 8 years with LJ. XP

I remember I offered you Reese's Pieces since they are a preferred food for outer space visitors.

As far as I recall we met at that tea ceremony that went really, really wrong. Who knew ninja could use spoons that way?! @_@;
And then you heroically retrieved my favourite spork from the ninja disguised as a dormouse so that's when we made friends. ^_^

Aww I don't know if I would say I was a hero, I could have done it without your skills with duct tape.

BTW glad to see all is well with you post the NZ earthquakes.

Duct tape and treacle - never leave home without them! ;)

Thanks for thinking of me. *hug* I'm on the North island, so far away from the quakes. It was a pretty hellish week down South, though, and I think everyone's still in a state of shock.

Treacle ♥ If only it didn't make my teeth hurt.

*hugs* I knew you were on the other island, but you never know.. someone could be visiting somewhere. I hope you don't have family/friends there. I always forget NZ can get earthquakes if they have so many volcanoes.

Fortunately the folks I know down there are OK. It's so sad for the people who did lose someone. :(

NZ isn't nearly as quake-prone as Japan, but we are on the same Pacific Ring of Fire. We actually have a nick-name of "the shaky isles". :)

No, I understand. Different circumstances but I felt the same way on 9/11. Everyone I knew was OK (We had a synagogue friend who had a miraculous survival story) but so many people were not that lucky. :(

I think in my mind NZ was like Hawaii, which is very volcanically active, but not so seismically active. (vs. Japan which I always think of as getting everything+ tsunamis.)
