So as of yesterday, I've officially passed the 37 week mark, making Ryuchan term. Yesterday's appointment I had a tiny bit more protein in my urine than there should have been the first time I tested but it had vanished to nothing with the second test and my blood pressure was slightly elevated 120/82 (probably from my protein scare) at the start of the appointment but had dropped to 110/78 by the end. So as of now all looks right, she's still head down and they found her heartbeat. Next appointment is week 38. I also am Strep B-!!!!!!! This is very happy as it means no IV and IVs scare me a whole heck of a lot more than labor. For those curious, Strep B just lives in people's bodies and only really causes a problem possibly during labor. Of all the things I was tested for, Strep B is the most common, with 20-30% of the population being positive.

They think she is around 5 1/2 pounds right now, which makes her a little small, but of course 5 1/2 pounds is a lot easier to get out than say 10 pounds lol It will be interesting to see how big she actually is. I am currently watching my belly move of its own volition.

This week end I had my shower! It didn't quite go as I had expected but it was still lots of fun. So many thanks to all my friends and relatives who took the time to come and all the energy and effort they put into it. I feel so blessed by all the funky and amusing gifts and the fact you all took time to come and see me!

Now to work more on the baby naming....

Our townhome, you can see the sukkah on our deck if you look carefully

Thanks! :D I hope you are able to attend the baby naming in November! I'm starting the process of tracking down caterers for it now lol

And thank you, I can't believe I am actually term. I kept thinking the 19th would be 37 weeks lol I can't wait to have her and to get to hold her in my arms.

It's decently sized! :D It's about 1200 sq ft and 2 BRs vs our old house was 1700 sq ft and 3 BR.

Pretty much everything on the far left side of the townhome over porch/stoop is just stairway, so not actual living space. But I overall like the townhome it was a good choice for us. If I ever get it clean and put up curtains I will take inside pictures lol

*hugs* So you think I still look cute despite being 9 months pregnant? I feel so awkward sometimes, particularly when I try to change positions. ;;_;;

I'm glad. It's so so so exciting and honestly, I've wanted to have a baby for so long. It's hard to believe it is getting close to the end. lol It's funny to think that trip in February to Japan was the start.

People tend to say I look a lot like my mom :D I think I look more like her than my dad. I also look a lot like my grandmothers.

It's really really exciting and I feel really happy. I still can't believe I might be almost done and I am carrying a full term baby in me.

I bought the dress for my brother's more formal wedding, but as it is the 3rd most expensive dress I've ever owned (The only more expensive ones being my first wedding dress and the bridesmaid dress I wore to my cousins' wedding, neither of which I actually paid for) I am determined to get my money's worth. I'll probably be wearing it for the naming too, even though I will no longer need maternity.

Everyone looks so happy in all the pics! Yay for being a huge dork (I love that tricycle pic--and the orange bullet-thing looks completely Made of Win). You look super cute and excited. I really like the "mom" decoration on your sash.

Yay for your sukkah too! I think your nasty complaney neighbour was just jealous. *laughs*

I love using the tricycle, it's such a nice way to get exercise and not have to worry about my current lack of balance. >>; That's Kennis' "Glyde" it's a velomobile, which is some sort of enclosed tricycle. He claims it is better than a trike or bike, but I have my doubts lol My friend [livejournal.com profile] muscatlove who did all the hard work with the shower got it for me and it just happened to go perfectly with my dress! :D I feel really happy, I really have wanted a baby for a long time and it's hard to believe I'm almost there.

I'm just glad we got to keep it! Though we had to remove it early because we're having a tropical storm right now and there are chances for winds of 40+ mph

That's probably good, since I'm nearly done with the pregnancy now! :D Though honestly, maternity clothes tend to make one look more pregnant and since the dress is spandex it highlights my belly. I've been told as pregnant women go, I'm on the smaller side, but I've no one to compare to. lol It started feeling very real for me when I began to really feel her move. Particularly when she makes my belly moves because of her and not me!

I can't wait to see the baby! :D I keep wondering if she will have lots of hair like I did or be bald like Kennis lol Hopefully, she will be making a trip to Japan in 2011 and if I can, I will bring Kennis along as well! , I keep thinking it wouldn't be so bad to travel there with a baby assuming I can get her to love being in a carrier lol

I loved it too! But we had to take it down due to high wind warnings with the tropical depression we are getting hammered by. lol I am hoping to use that one or the old one next year though!

(This one was soooooo easy to take down and put up!)

*blush* thanks! I think I look super pregnant now! :D
