I'm debating hotels for my trip to CA. Am I insane for thinking of doing two hotels? I am seriously thinking it might be fun to book 2 nights at a Disneyland hotel and then spend 2 nights with the rest of my family closer to where the reception is being held. I'm not planning on going to Disneyland since I suspect there are next to no rides they will let me on at this point (something about being super pregnant) but the hotels sound like they potentially have pretty gardens and amazing pools which would be quite nice for me and are something I can enjoy. I'm not sure what sort of sightseeing I am up for, particularly since I am finding my energy level has gone back down again and naps are so my friend. I'm arriving about 5-6 hours before my parents, and staying at Disney would help give me something to keep myself entertained and it looks like there are a ton of places I could grab lunch within walking distance of the hotel. It just seems easier than having to research places to grab lunch on Wednesday.

Just to note, Disney/Anaheim will put us a little closer to the ceremony which is being held in Arcadia. (The reception is in Garden Grove and we're using John Wayne Airport near Santa Ana)

In unhappy news I am not sure how my maternity pillow is working out. On one hand the little back pillow part is definitely keeping me from moving in my sleep, the negative is I am now waking up with awful back aches! I'm pretty sure it is not strictly belly related since it's my mid to upper back and is more muscle pain.

My sister and I are getting our hair cut on Thursday at some special salon that specializes in curly hair, exciting! I'm hoping they can make my hair look decent again.

The Grand Californian Hotel at Disneyland is supposed to be *very* nice. The 'original' Disneyland Hotel (where the Monorail stops at) -- is not so good. A friend from out of town once commented that a Motel 6 would've been a better choice.

Please also let me know what day(s) might work for us to get together.

Really, it has hundreds of positive reviews on Expedia and is going through a huge refurbishing right now. I plan to look in my favorite Disney guidebook tomorrow though to see if they have good info on hotels.

The pool is supposed to be one of the best in SoCal.

I personally, think your friend has either stayed in really nice Motel 6s are not stayed in any recently. The craptastic one I stayed in for my SiL's wedding had no pool or restaurant on premises or grounds, or anything even remotely nice about it and it cost around $100 a night.

When do you work?
