OWWWWWWW

So I got a phone call at 9:45am that more people wanted to see the house at 10:30 and not wanting to say no as well as hop in the shower I asked for 10:45. But unfortunately while getting out of the shower, I slipped and now my foot is in major PAIN! I whapped it hard on the metal door jamb, and I'm hoping it is just bruised and stuff and not broken and debating trying to make it the doctor. I can walk on it, but it hurts like the dickens. I'm trying to keep it iced and elevated and plan to pop some more ibuprofen soon. BUT OWWWW If it is broken what does this do to my trip to Japan? How am I going to get around, this so so so so so sucks. It better just be bruised only. DAMN IT!

We have 2 bids I think? And have to have had at least 14 showings since Friday night, though who knows, maybe now it is even more, it certainly feels like more.

I am out of mini pizzas and granola and have to try to go to Trader Joe's but my foot hurts ;;_;;

We didn't get tickets to see Basara, which is also making me rethink where I will be for my trip. Damn it I need to work on things having a hurt foot like this so sucks. At least the house is incredibly clean.

Oh no! Here's hoping it's just bruised. And wow, two bids already -- clearly showings are going well!

Now, it's 3! o_O

BTW I was curious how do you figure out seats for an event? And who do you use if you are bidding on Y!J? I've found a ton of seats on offer for my event but figuring out where they are is another matter. ;;_;;

I hope it's only bruised, I know it could be hurting from that, and from being compressed and from the ice >>;

I used Celga.com, because I was a long-term customer and had what they term a "gold account." (meaning I had my own personal YJ account and could enter my own bids, and bid as often as I wanted). There's also Rinkya.com and ShoppingMallJapan.com. Celga (and possibly the others) will also help with orders through e+ and pia (I do have a couple of e+ accounts, but have never used them -- and you'd need someone to pay for/pick up the tickets).

I would offer to help with YJ, but I purposefully closed my YJ account so I wouldn't be tempted to spend insane amounts of money for event tickets, like I did with the TeniPuri 100 Songs Marathon and last year's Corda event. Instead, I cleverly signed up, with a friend's help, for the Koei Game City Fan Club, which makes getting Koei event tickets so much easier (and most of the events I go to are Koei's, these days).

As for locating event seatings, I use this site (http://www.tt.rim.or.jp/~makoto-s/event/future/) to get either a link to the event hall or for the kanji for the name, so I can Google the site and look at the floor plans.

I have a SMJ account already and I know the venue, I just can't figure out some of these auuctions in terms of where the seats are. Some give helpful maps but others...

I've not figured out how to know if something is on the 1st, 2nd or 3rd floor ;;_;;

I found some amazing seats but I think you need to buy two tickets and I only want 1 as my friend is not coming to Tokyo.

Typically, though not always, SS seats at the Pacifico are on the first floor, and some S. Anything other than that is probably on the other floors (assuming they use the same nomenclature for seats as they do for NeoRoma events).

Okay, so your first one is 1st floor, row 18, and the seats are somewhere in the range of 35 to 46. The second one, the seats are 39 and 40 in row 9 on the 1st floor.

Yeah the second one if the one I am lusting for because I say if I am going to overpay, I want amazing seats. I might try to get a single not as good seat for the 2nd event the same day. >>;; but OK so you would go with me to the first one?

If you end up with two, then I'll happily take the other one off your hands.

I'm trying to sort out my concert tickets at the moment, only Paypal decided that since I logged in from South Africa I must be an imposter and blocked my account until I sent them scanned ID, and even now I can't send any money yet 'cause I have to wait for them to restore that function. *sigh* So my concert plans are not confirmed yet.

You know that actually makes sense though, I think South Africa/Africa has had scammers before so it would not surprise me that using it there froze your account. Since I owe you money anyway, as long as it is not balance PayPal (as my balance is zip right now lol) I'm happy to send payment for you if you give me all the info via email.)

We can sort it out when we are in Japan and I can say payment is for your purchases.

They're both first floor. The kanji you're after is 1階. The first one looks to be in row 18 and the second in row 9 (9列). The first one is only showing the section the two seats are in; amazingly the second is actually telling you the seats -- 39 & 40.

From experience, 9th row doesn't necessarily mean as far back as 9th (which is still pretty darn close at the Pacifico). It depends on the stage configuration. My 9th row seats for the TeniPuri Marathon were really 5th row (and my 5th row seats were really 1st row).

Ticket sellers on YJ are typically cagey. Well, as cagey as one can be when one is scalping tickets in public auctions. ^_^

It does mean they do their best to make the auctions enticing while giving away as little information as possible....

Date: 2010-01-18 09:18 pm (UTC)

But that 9th row auction is really 9th row and seats 39 and 40, right? cause wow those seats look great even if it really is row 9.

I just would prefer not to pay a premium to sit on the 2nd or 3rd floor or super far back.

But yeah, I mean everyone knows someone is going to be scalping things... I just want to do my best to be one of those lucky people to get good seats. ^^;;

Yep, it's really 9th row and those seats:

お席は、1階 9列 39番、40番です

That's about as straightforward as you'll ever see in one of these auctions. I would expect a minor skirmish in the bidding.

Yeah I figured. lol I might try to just get a seat for the second showing since I'm not as into team blue as team red and it would be neat just to go to both.

I'm also just debating doing the BIN on the other seats, they're not quite as good but still decent or do you think I should wait?

The main advantage to doing the BIN one is that you can buy just one ticket (at a bit of a markup there), and 19th row isn't that bad, as you can see. And then you can decide to pick up a ticket to the other show.

Btw, be prepared just in case this is a seller who doesn't want to deal with proxy bidding services ... and unless SMJ's dealt with them before, you won't know until after the bid's in. (I had a royal pain getting tickets after someone canceled a bid of mine and gave me negative feedback -- for no good reason. Meh.) This person has low enough feedback that they probably haven't dealt with a proxy yet, and might not know any different.

Actually SMJ is set up in a slightly different way so usually you find out right away with you can't bid. Maybe I will test on the other one and see how it goes and if I can't bid or it gets pulled then think more about the BIN. There are other tickets it's just figuring out which are the best seats.

I'd prefer to get just one ticket but am willing to get 2 if that is the way it goes.

I just want the damn ticket lol

Oh, I can say from experience, broken foot bones hurt A LOT. But mine was a weird combination of factors that caused my bone to shatter, so that could have been why. I've also broken my pinky toe & MAN, did that hurt DX I'm sending you healing juju-vibes from Japan - anti-inflammatories & elevation are your friends, so use them well *internet hugs*

Yeah my husband said when he broke his... ankle I think he could not walk on it at all, and I can walk. Today it's like a twinge and I have to go slow, but I only did just fall yesterday. On the grand level of pain scale, my foot today is nothing compared to my teeth the day I got my crown. I know my bones haven't shattered, if it's any sort of break it's some sort of tiny fracture.

*internet hugs* If nothing is wrong other than a bruise and needing to rest, I should be coming to Kyoto at some point during my trip. :)

It is officially a sprain, and a minor one at that since the doctor didn't give me anything! :D I went to the doctor's yesterday so I could stop being so anxious since a lot of people posting here made me more anxious, except you, you're one of the few who made me think it might not be broken since I had no where close to the pain you were describing after the immediate accident lol

I need to work on in itinerary and the trip itself today, it's a matter of trying to figure out how to make everything work for the best price since the dollar to yen sucks. I sort of want to go to Okinawa but I am not sure it will happen, though hmmmm I could go Thursday-Saturday....

I'm glad to hear things are going so well with the house, but that's terrible about your foot. You should go get it checked out by a doctor - at least then you'll know whether it's broken or not. That's not something you really want to leave up to nature. I hope it's just bruised and that you'll be okay for Japan! It would be such a shame for it to spoil things for you. *hugs*

and
2) how do you figure out where the seats are?!?!

I want to make sure if I am paying a fortune I am not in the balcony, I want good seats damn it!

I'll probably see if I can go in tomorrow, I can walk on it, it's just annoying and frustrating and painful, I think I must be a klutz ;;_;;

I can't do the bidding myself - I don't have a Y!J account. I use a third-party shopping service, i-TM4U, and just tell them what I want to bid on. On the odd occasion I do want to bid myself, I have a Rinkya account and can do it directly through one of their IDs.

Do you know the seating plan of the venue? The seats I go for usually specify the floor and the row number, but I generally have some idea of where that will put me in the venue. Do the seats you're looking at give any details? I know how you feel - I know I'll end up paying through the nose, so I want it to be worth it!

If somehow I accidentally end up with two tickets would you want to go? The venue is Yokohama and you're supposed to be there at noon, it's Sunday the 21st. I know it is over by early afternoon because there is another show later in the day.

I use to use SMJ.. I think I found some amazing seats... I need to figure out how much I can bid and make sure they hold the tickets.

I just can't figure out which are 1st, 2nd and 3rd floor seats ;;_;;

Oh sweetie ... I totally sympathize. *hugs*

Is your foot really swollen? If it hurts *a lot* when you try to walk -- it might be safe to get an x-ray.

I did something similar last Tuesday. I was going to blog about it - then LJ decided it wanted to erase everything I had written - so I gave up. I thought I broke my foot/toe when I had accidentally slammed my left foot into our space heater. Hurt like #$@#%.

I instantly put ice on it and elevated it as well. It wasn't obscenely swollen or twisted out of place (nor was it instantly bruised)-- so I decided to wait until the morning to decide. I had done this late at night & *really* didn't want to go to the emergency room.

Turns out not broken -- just bruised & sore. It's my little toe & the area under neath the 2 little toes that's bruised. I was limping around the first few days. However, on my left foot -- I can only wear my velcro running shoes, without a sock, and the shoe has to be unfastened. The problem is steps & stairs. I still have to do the 'crab-walk' to negotiate them. And my little toe still can't be bent or stretched sideways. I accidentally did so last night & it started to hurt again all evening.

At least i can still drive if I have to.

This is totally bruised, it started going purple within minutes and it had a cut on it. If I take some ibuprofen I can walk or stand on it and feel very little pain, without taking anything I have pain but I can do it.

I sort of am thinking of going tomorrow depending on how I feel in the morning. It's moe swollen than I would like but the place it is swollen and if it is broken it's a sort of weird break because of how I hit it. I feel like such a moron.

I'm fine as stairs but worried about shoes since it is the top of my foot. All my little toes are fine and can move or well when I don't wrap and ice my foot they all move a lot better >>;

Eep. It sounds like it *might* be broken ... since it bruised so soon afterwards. :-P But even if not, it's probably a good idea to get it looked at -- so you're not walking around on a broken foot (without knowing it) when you're in Japan.

~~~~~~ Good vibes that it's only a bruise & you'll be able to put on shoes, walk just fine & still go to Japan!
~~~~~~ Good vibes too for one of the bids to go thru too!

I don't know it was bleeding... I'm not going to Japan for another few weeks, I'm just neurotic. It is hurting a lot less as the day progresses and I've not taken any ibuprofen since 1 (7 1/2 hours ago) I'm still icing and elevating.

I don't know I will see how it feels tomorrow I figured no matter what today was not an opportune day to go.

I can put on shoes and I did walk around it just hurts when things touch it too much and I walk slowly. Meh.

But thank you *hugs*

*hugs* Me too cause if it is broken and they put me in any sort of cast, I'm probably not going sightseeing outside of Tokyo since I am not going to want to takyuubin all over Japan. The swelling has gone down some and I can put on shoes still. It hurts a lot less today, but I might still go just to be safe once I've figure out what I need to do to make an appointment with my plan.

It might just be a bad bruise and cut.
