I ought to be cleaning my house but my husband is sleeping and I am being lazy. >>;;; It doesn't help that the room I want to work on is the bedroom lol

For those who want to see a few fast doll pictures from my most recent trip to Japan Just visit DoA If you're not a member and still want to see them, uhh just let me know lol

I have more. >>;

I feel bad, I never finished sharing about my trip in January but really other than trying and failing to sell doujinshi and discovering my love of SpaWorld there is not so much to share. The weather was quite cold, though not as bad as it was here during the same period and while I found some winter sakura it was sad and paltry. My other highlight was finally making it to Hikone, a destination I'd wanted to go to since my first trip to Japan.

For those who don't know March 1999 was when I made my first trip to Japan. I think now I must have been there for the start of hanami based on the flowering trees I had my picture taken standing under in Kyoto, but at the time I was so ignorant when it came to Japan and really had no way to take very good pictures with my camera either lol This trip though marked the 10th anniversary of my first time to Japan. And like that trip, I was going to be flying ANA one way and spending time in Tokyo and Kyoto. But other than that so much had changed, for one thing I can now occasionally even read a few kanji lol I've seen and done a lot more than I ever imagined and this trip was really no different.

My goal was to: sell something at Haru, visit somewhere I went on my first trip to Japan, and to finally get some decent sakura pictures. Thanks to my rail pass, I'm happy to say I accomplished all of those goals.

My first few days in Japan were spent in Tokyo, where I was trying out a new hotel and a new way to get to Big Sight. Both went splendidly. I got to see [livejournal.com profile] ee970 and [livejournal.com profile] dilettantka for lunch and Eda humored me and was willing to walk from Shinjuku to Harajuku. I also spent an entire day cooped up in my hotel room trying to desperately finish my copyhon lol Fortunately it was the cold and rainy day, so I didn't feel bad about not being outside. I also discovered while the paper was not quite as nice, the price to print 18 copyhon+37 free papers on pale pink paper was only 1200 yen! Go me!

Hanazono jinja in Shinjuku is one of the places I visited my very first trip to Japan. It's a small shinto shrine hidden away off a busy shopping street. I believe I went there to go to some sort of shrine flea market my first trip Japan. This time, I was going back because I could. And yeah this was the shrine I borrowed for one of the scenes in RWT

Despite the fact the official opening date for Tokyo was the 21st I caught these on the 13th.

Want to guess what this is?

Yeah, that one was really cool! And the flower ones were really nice, too.
