I woke to no hot water because the pilot light was out thanks to the work being done by ConEd. Then the people doing work on the house took my hydrangea out and say they are going to replant them but I don't like seeing them sitting waiting to be planted again. ;;_;; And then to make life suck even worse, some sewer backed up and I ended up with nasty gross sewer water overflowing all over my basement. It is beyond gross and I can not even being to clean it until the plumber comes. I hope the plumber comes soon so I can break out the bleach ;;_;;

At least now I have hot water.

Maybe this is a sign to clean my bathtub so I can soak in it later... with a bath bomb...

Ugh I sympathize, our basement flooded last year and it was such a mess. But, got to be thankful for hot water! I couldn't live without it ♥

We had it happen once before when some roots got into one of the pipes but this was a bit more frustrating as there was a lot more of a mess in the basement because of a few other factors. At least now the basement is nice and clean and hopefully we will not be having this problem again for a long time.

I am so incredibly thankful for hot water and the ConEd guy gave me advice on how to make sure to get someone in to fix the pilot light in the future fast. XD;;;

I'm sorry about the basement. :( *hands you 500 gallons of bleach*

But in happy news, I got your postcard! Thank you. :D

Now the basement smells happily of bleach! :D On the bright side at least the floor is much cleaner down there than it use to be...

I'm so glad! :D

Glad you're back home safely!

Sewer back-up is the worst. Happened to me once in an old townhouse I was renting when I lived in Louisville. I had a bunch of stuff stored down there, too. A lot of things got ruined.

Thanks! I just wish things were going better with the house though maybe someday all the projects will be done.

It happened once before with this house but this was a lot worse than the last time and the sludgey water was a lot deeper too. UGH!

Luckily nothing got ruined as far as I can tell, or well nothing that mattered. I tend to store things on the other dryer side of the basement which is just a little higher up or in the attic.

What a mess!

It is such a mess, it is one of the many times I wish I didn't own a house lol

Oh good! It always makes me happy when people receive them.

I'm not sure it would qualify as starting the day since I couldn't sleep well and ended up staying awake all night ._.

But today so far is going much better, for one thing I have hot water and the basement is clean and smelling of bleach! :D
