One can't go back to Manderlay
Sep. 25th, 2008 09:30 pmOne can't change the past and so its important to always work and hope for a more positive future.
So with that note...

The most amusing thing from my time in Utah. XD;;
My in-laws and husband decided to do their yearly trip out to Angel's Landing. Between the 95+ degreee heat (dry heat does not help!) and the fact I can not physically complete Angel's Landing because I can not do the last bit because of my fear of heights it seemed to dumb to do it again. I remember last year I had a hard time just coming back down from some parts because of the drop offs you can see even though your chances of falling from that part are pretty slim. So instead I went off on my own to do the walk to the Narrows and to think about hiking some of the Narrows. Unfortunately, I learned that while Crocs are very comfy and great for walking in the water, crocs and slippery wet rocks==bad combination. It also didn't help that along with the carrying the Yos I had my mother in law's book she had forgotten on the bus. >>;; the water was also freezing!

The start of the Narrows, enjoy the fact I still need to figure out how to compensate for a mix of darkness and bright light

Usually the water is very blue so the brown color means there was a flash flood not so long ago somewhere up canyon.

Suzaku was quite excited that Lelouch and Gino showed him the Britannian Southwest. Thanks again for the pants
cc_lemon Suzaku loves them in white ♥

Gino comes up to join him.

Sadly Suzaku does not look that cross-eyed in person >>;;

Poor Lelouch couldn't manage to make it up the small hill to join Gino and Suzaku

Yeah for pictures from inside a car racing at 65 mph

Me, on a horse with the husband and in-laws. The bags are over the horse's mouths so they don't snack during the hike on the desert sage.

The impatiens have totally taken over

The tiny plants in this picture are 4 future beets and a weed or two XD;

The green beans and the peas along with my tiny cauliflower. >>;

The green beans before my harvest

The basil, arugula, cilantro and my two tiny corns that are so not going to make it lol

2 of my amazing hydrangea which managed to survive the housework!

Is it just me or is this a strawberry???? I totally did not plant it.

poison ivy gone! and all the other overgrown stuff back there O_o

The very trimmed back hydrangea which came with the house. I'm hoping they were not trimmed back too much since I love them.

The gardener came up with the brilliant idea to put the wood pile next to the garage in our newly cleaned out space. Wheeeee!

This will eventually be grass, hopefully

Wow, we have a flagstone patio! O_O
And cause I suck one more uncut picture. :P

My harvest for today from my garden! :D I grew the radish, arugula, and beans from seed. The basil, cilantro and tomato are from seedlings. But still, go me! :D

Date: 2008-09-27 11:14 pm (UTC)I happen to likes Volks Yo SDs a lot because I like 12 inch or so dolls. Lulu, Suza and Gino were all LEs. Lulu==Yo SD Shinn with new eyes and a new wig, Suza==Yo SD Kuuta with a repaint, new eyes and a new wig and Gino==Yo Tenshi Yuki with new eyes, a new wig, and boy bits. >D A lot of people prefer the larger dolls and I have some of them too, but my Yos are almost all Sunrise characters. I also have a Schneizel, Lux and Kira and hopefully soon a Kanon :D

Date: 2008-09-27 04:51 am (UTC)Are you gonna plant your backyard with seed or lay down sod?
And horse! You didn't mention horseriding before. I only rode a horse once--well, I just got on it and the horse kept MOVING and I got freaked out and got off. (FUN FACT: I was the wimpiest little kid ever /o/)
(no subject)
Date: 2008-09-27 02:48 pm (UTC)We planted seed and we should have lawn in 2 weeks or so? hopefully?
I always wanted to ride a horse it is sooooooo expensive here in ny ;;_;; I was wimpy when it came to things like balls, I was great at dodging the ball in dodgeball :3 but animals don't usually scare me, except bugs. I once got to help hold a huge snake and my mom was freaking out lol
Great garden harvest!
Date: 2008-09-27 05:04 am (UTC)Cool you got to ride horses. The dolls look great in the Utah scenery.
95 degrees in dry heat is an oven.
Re: Great garden harvest!
Date: 2008-09-27 11:06 pm (UTC)I'm starting to look for more hydrangea to plant along the side of the house.
It's just AWFUL and not fun for hiking and the canyons to me make it seem hotter. >>;;
