It's March, the time of year when a girl's heart turns to... gardening. I am determined to actually get more than peas from my garden this year and part of that involves actually planting things when you're supposed, namely in the Spring. While I have quite a few seeds stored away, I recently was sent a link to an Italian Seed Catalog and to Johnny's Seeds and I think I am in love. There are 6 different types of arugula, 6! I also wonder if these less heirloom seeds might be umm easier to grow. ^_^; My winter garden never got enough light to do much though I should point out it managed to not die for the most part, well except the basil. I'm not really won't to tear it all up so hopefully I will have some new boxes for spring since I want to try squash.

Our other yard problems involve the fact I couldn't get most of my bulbs in the ground because of the house stuff being done. ~.~ I am determined next year to get them in as well as new ones in case these are no longer among the living. I also need to figure out what to do with the new large open side patch next to the house that was formerly full of weeds, bushes, and God only knows what. I am not sure if my hydrangea are coming back but I am not planting more until the house is painted. I also now have a front yard heavily made up of mud from all the work done around the house. I'm thinking of actually planting clover rather than grass as grass I think is overrated. Clover smells nice, has flowers, and supposedly makes a wonderful green mulch.

Thank you everyone for all the lovely comments re: my Japan pictures. I do have a few more to share, but I want to also make a thread on DoA/Resinality so I can show off Lux and whatever pretty blossoms we saw.

I'm also steadily thinking about trip #2 and will prob be bugging people for input in the next few days. ^^
