OK, so I am now up to trying to pick out hotels in Tokyo. I've previously stayed in: The Shin-Nakano Lodge (I will never stay there again!), The Kimi Ryokan (I want a private bathroom >>; ), The Sumisho (OK, but not really near much), The Ikebukuro Grand City (booked 1 of the nights I want), The Hibiya Park (such a nice bed but also booked one of the nights), Chisun Hamamatsucho (sort of pricey for what you get), The Dai-ei in Ginza (I think that is what it was called, typical sort of ehhh business hotel) and the Washington (not convenient and more than the others)

So I'm looking at the Ginza International, it's a decent price, right next to Hakuhinkan Toy Park, but does not have internet in the rooms and the Hamamatsucho Retreat which is a little more, but gives you some sort of breakfast which hopefully I can eat some of, looks like it has nice rooms and gives you internet. The International has a better location and there are places I can eat near there, namely a really good but expensive Indian place. Hamamatsucho is pretty dead at night, but my event is off the monorail which starts there. Both are pretty close together and prob when I get in I will want to shop anyway and will look into a locker so I can either go to Nakano or Ikebukuro.

So help me pick a hotel!
My next minor problem involves my passport. In April 2008 my passport expires. I called the Japanese Consulate in NYC and they assured me that as long as my passport was still valid when I arrived and I was leaving Japan before it expired I should have no problem. As I plan to go and come back all before March 2008, it will be valid the whole time, but I'm still a little anxious, so:
