There is going to be fireworks...
Jul. 3rd, 2007 01:44 amI am happy to report that over the week end there were more tiny little seedlings, including my sugar snap peas and one of the tomatoes! I ought to take a few more picture before I think things out on Wednesday morning. I feel terrible cutting back the little seedlings, but they're too close together. At least there aren't so many to cut back. I am waiting until Wednesday, so I know which are the strongest. I'm also thinking of doing a few marigolds, tomatoes, and maybe some spices in the old plastic containers that use to have my impatiens in them. I'm a bit concerned that the stuplice hasn't come up yet. And honestly, it's not as if I won't eat them.
I've not gotten my new seeds yet, which is sad as I want to grow zucchini. I ordered some more seeds from Heirloom Seeds. The nice thing about heirlooms is technically you can save seeds then for next year. I want to try onions and garlic next year. ^^ We also ordered some seeds from Seeds of Change, but none of them have come yet either. Plus I think Heirloom has a better selection.
I'm started to map out ideas in my head for tulips for Fall. I need to compare colors and prices from the catalogs I received. I also found out one can plant irises in the summer, so now I want some tubers from my mom. Her irises came from my grandfather, so they'll be intergenerational lol
I also decided to invite company for the 4th. The problem with this is, my house needs a good cleaning. The plus is, my house needs a good cleaning. I've made a dent on the living room and done the entry. Tomorrow I can easily finish the living room and do the dinning room and maybe the kitchen.
I also ordered The Tipping Point on
muscatlove's recommendation. I'm rather excited to get in on Thursday. At the moment, I've give up on Biting the Dust and have moved too Square Foot Gardening so I can have some idea what I am in for. I can't read it straight through, so The Tipping Point will be most welcome.
bittenbefore, as you deleted your comment, I can't respond back to it. ^^;; I'm not sure what your current email is, so I am posting this here. ^^; Sorry if this bothers you, I just feel bad not responding. Re: what I've been doing lately, I've been gardening and going to the gym. I've also been trying to read books more. I've also been bonding with my husband. Over several weeks, we watched all of Revolutionary Girl Utena, and have been discussing it. For about 10 days I tried to do drabbles for a contest, before getting busy. ~.~ I really need to go back and finish those!
I am planning on going to Japan, but I've already made partial plans for my time in Tokyo since I had no idea you had a place there. ^^;;; Which reminds me
becroberts, gah! So sorry I will look at prices and stuff, I'm just not used to booking so far in advance. >>;;
