Jet lag is your friend, no wait, it's not?

Since quite a few people on my flist are not fond of lj cuts they can now all deal with my long post. :P

I am safely back in NY and enjoying my bout of jet lag. Economy was completely booked but I don't care because my upgrade came through and I got Business Class. ^______________^ I don't really care if no one wants to hear me wax poetical on the joys of flying Business Class because it just means you don't understand the difference when flying long distances. They have a special closet just for your jackets and the seats are so comfortable. I stretched my feet as far as I could and I wasn't even close to the seat in front of me. They try to make up special food just for you which is actually umm edible! The cake was so delicious and chocolate fudge! I don't remember Business being this nice in 2000. And erjika you get nearly 3 windows! Speaking of windows, Japan loved me this last trip because I ACTUALLY SAW FUJI-SAN from the plane as we took off!!!! I also am 99% sure I saw Tokyo Tower. This was really a fabulous trip to Japan for me, despite spending more than I ought, getting incredibly low on yen, (Yes, I had back up traveler's checks I didn't want to use, as well as a crdit card and an ATM card so I wasn't close to REALLY running out of money, I just went through nearly all the cash I began my trip with. lol) and actually buying so much stuff I needed to mail things out for the first time since 2002 ^^;;; (speaking of which the box I mailed on 1/5 in Japan got to my house on 1/6 while I was at work and then I got it yesterday morning O_O) It didn't help that I attended Dolpa, Comiket, bought things for others, AND had thick heavy winter clothes.

Many people should at some point receive a post card from me from Japan. Unfortunately, 3 or 4 of you I wrote cards to, but then they got stuck in my pocket when I went to mail them out and not realizing road back to NY with them, so they are currently sitting in my living room. ^^;; Sorry!!! For doll people,

If visiting the Sumikas of Tokyo, definitely make the trip to Harajuku. I thought hands down it is the nicest Volks store other than Sato. It's bright, light and spacious and you can actually see everything with almost natural lighting. Skip the photo directions on DOA cause they're not very helpful and only have one photo. o_O If one of the Volks people hadn't marked it on my map I doubt I would have ever found it.

I also finally understand what ginarolo meant about inconsistent eyes. While a pair matches, the pupil size is not always the same size from one pair of say 14 mm to the other. Harajuku was nice and let you pick the set you liked best, Akihabara does not. I need to get a picture today of Yo!Anne with her new green eyes, she is soooooooo much prettier with 14 mm!

Mandarake has so many dolls things and they must have a high turnover rate since the overpriced Leekes (44,000 yen+ O_O) and the SD Ken were gone. On offering I saw Cecil the Scarface, Yukinojo, Sweet Dream Mimi, 2 one offs! Arashi and I think something else rather nice. The highlight for me was PF outfits, namely some of the ones I've thought about bidding on on Y!J <3333 BTW, for those curious, the difference between Yukinojo and Cecil was pretty damn big. Long legged MSDs are taller than MSDs, but it's a more subtle high difference. There is no way Yukinojo is fitting in SD-13 clothes. He's noticeably taller, like of the 2 inches or so variety. I also think he looks very mature and old, not 16 unless you're actually Tezuka.

For non doll people,

For the first time in 3 years I have not bought the PoT calendar, though I indulged in buying some of the cracky trading cards. Niou LIKES GIRLS!!!!!!! He's hitting hard on Shiba or since the chibi is small you can pretend it's Yumiko XD Yagyuu, the only member of Rikkai in waiter uniform, works at the same Prince Cafe as Yuuta, where we know they're in true love :P Kirihara is having issues with a puppy and is also a vampire. I haven't seen all the chibi Rudy cards but the Yuuta is amazing adorable. And as so many LJ icons have shown off, wow Yuuta looks hot in the pool scene. If I could read Japanese I would so own that game, and well had a PS2, and liked gaming. muscatlove and I do not now have the YuuYuu verse where they meet at the pool thanks to it XD;;;

I can not put into words my HATRED for the 3 HyouteiMyu songs I was forced to listen to at Animate while trying to find the Catboy!Kira in a nurses uniform porn doujinshi I missed at Comiket. Each time I heard "Do your Best" I wanted to do my best to rip out the speakers. Fortunately, I've tried to drive the songs from my head with Destiny and Paradise Kiss. I've had a recent love affair with OP #3 and ED #4.

I also love the new Seed figures coming out at the end of the month! It's Seed Pinky St! I know I am going to have to indulge and get some. I also adore my best of Destiny CD set. It's interesting, the special edition was sold out in Tokyo, much like Hyoutei Myu but was still readily available in Kobe.

When buying a CD for setra I gave in and bought the most amazing purse at the scary gothic Lolita store. Actually, the people there were all really nice even though for some reason it took them forever to process my credit card. ^^;;

I think I saw Erin in Harajuku but I was too into my candy apple to think about it until after I arrived in Shibuya. ^^;

I really like the low end hotel muscatlove found. I would definitely stay there again.

Now to actually go through my purchases and do some sort of accounting.
