Thank you for everyone who responded to my last post. I'm still in pain but it's a lot less than yesterday in that It doesn't hurt constantly and each time I try to walk. The pain also isn't radiating out as much down my thigh which is very happy. I am hoping tomorrow it hurts even less though I'm not sure how I can go food shopping with my mom and help her *sighs*

Since I'm not too sleepy, can't take pictures, can't work on sales, can't draw and don't feel like writing, what better way to waste time than more Japan pictures :D

May 3+4 were SCC, one of the main reasons I like to come to Japan for GW. Day 1 was Geass, Gundams, and lots of other stuff I am not necessarily into. Day 2 was Jump and lots of other stuff I'm not interested. I was fortunate enough this time to be helped out with a dealer's pass which is just about the most amazing thing ever. What it means is instead of lining up at 6:30 am and then still having to wait 20 minutes for Kashi (my favorite circle) I could go and wait inside out of the rain, and then line up 20-30 minutes before the event even started for Kashi XD; So guess who only had 1 person in front of her. I think in the future I will need to finegle a pass or try to go as a dealer myself. ^^;

SCC doesn't allow pictures but for anyone who went to Dolpa 19, that was head in Hall 5+6, SCC is all 6 halls both days. *___*

I tried to buy some things for various friends who gave me lists and ended up waiting in some lines but overall it was good. I also got two sketches, one my one of my favorite circles! I got some new GinoSuzu I am sharing in the comm, a little LuluSuzu, RoloLulu, and I think that was the day I got my cracky FMA/Keroro fusion!

Big Sight at night (and mostly empty lol)

Looking out towards Tokyo. Someday I will go to the other side of Odaiba to get nice pictures, but it was raining. The tiny orange glow in the background is Tokyo Tower.

Lux amused that her outfit was bought at Big Sight only the week before

Happiness is a Dealer's Pass :D

Day 2 for me meant.. YuGiOh! There were not so many Puzzle, Tender and Bronze circles, but I got some lovely Tender books which I'm so happy with and that pairing is hard to find <3 Of the 3 Puzzle got the most and I got quite a few of those lol I also bought more for friends, got some Copics and got 2 pretty sketches. It was fun. :D

Emily came to SCC too and after we finished around 1 we headed to our next hotel in Tokyo and then hit the town to sightsee and shop lol

We did some shopping/looking around in Harajuku and then hit up Meiji Jingumae

Which as usual was packed lol (but not like New Years, just crowded enough that these pictures won't seem like I'm alone there lol

The Docomo Building from near Harajuku Station. It's funny I can remember when they built that lol

Japanese look for attention from the foreigners

We then went shopping in Harajuku for a while and then tried to find dinner. Unfortunately, the place I wanted to go was closed. ~.~ So we got some chain food and watched Independence Day while we ate and got the random Aussie waiter cause we're foreigners XD;

Enjoy!

I hope it feels better soon too, it's really quite awful. I mean I guess I should be happy since I'm not in as much pain

You should totally go back to Tokyo, not that I don't like the Big Nag lol

It's just frustrating because there is so much I want to do and right now it is just not an option. ;;_;;

Glad you like the pictures! :D

I really hope the pain goes away soon or at least lessens even more I hate not being able to just walk around or move as much as I would like.

For one thing, I want to work on sales! >>;

They're really pretty~

Definitely! It's no fun to be incapacitated, especially when you're a go-getter like you!

Heh, that's a good thing to work on~ I should do a bit of that, myself...

All these pics and not a single flower! :O

XD

I really like that second to last pic for some reason. Maybe because there's so much to look at? I don't know, I just keep staring at it. lol

It's Tokyo XD;;; I meant to take one of the poppies near my hotel but it never happened. I think it also hurt that it rained a lot of the time I was in Tokyo. lol It made me very thankful over the dealer's pass.

I think I have some more flower pictures of Asakusa, I just need to edit the video to share those. XD;

Hehehe I only took that picture cause I really enjoyed Densha Otoko and in the special edition episode part of it takes place near there. XD;

Hee, I like how the guy in the Day 2 program cover looks like he's holding your dealer's pass. XD Great photos. :)

Again, feel better soon. *pets*

Ooh, so you went to SupaComi! Cool! Your Meiji Jingu pictures make me feel nostalgic.. Harajuku/Aoyama's my favourite of the various Tokyo 'centres'. ^-^

Hope your back gets well soon!

My favorite part of Tokyo is between Odaiba and Ikebukuro lol But I tend to like everywhere, I like Harajuku for some of its restaurants but I lose patience quickly walking down Takeshiba dori when it is crowded and I'm not so into Goth/Loli/Punk. I think I'm too old. >>;

I also am very fond of non-Tokyo places lol

I really like the 'backstreets' off Takeshita-Dori, and the bits off Omotesando and Meiji-Dori. Lots of good shopping to be had that's not necessarily Goth, Loli or Punk! There're some pretty nice vintage shops along Takeshita too! ^-^

I only passed through Ikebukuro on a car and had dinner somewhere vaguely near (I think). Will definitely go there on my next trip now that I know it's doujin-central! As for Odaiba, I've only been to the side with the Fuji TV building and the shopping malls. I think I prefer the suburbs of Tokyo to the futuristic centres like Odaiba and Shiodome....

I have a love/hate relationship with Tokyo. :p Further afield, Kamakura and Arashiyama in Kyoto have special places in my heart. ^-^

Looking at your pictures and talking about Japan really make me want to go back asap!!

I admit, I'm boring and like to dress preppy lol That and I'm way too plump to fit in most Japanese size clothing outside Uniqlo >>;

Ikebukuro is the place to go for anime shops and used yaoi doujinshi. It is just also sort of fun to shop in and has some nice places to eat. ^^ Oh, and I've liked some of the hotels I've stayed at there lol Odaiba can be a nice break when you want something suburban to me because it has that lovely beach front park. Plus in the Spring if you walk from the Toyota Center to the mall there is an amazing field of poppies. And there is Tokyo Big Sight, home of big comic events XD;

I love Kamakura and Arashiyama has a huge spot in my heart, however part of it is the dolls I collect/buy come from a special store in Arashiyama :D

I have a big soft spot for: Uji, Nara (which is funny my first time there I didn't like it), Nara, Fushimi Inari, Wakayama, Okayama, and oddly enough Osaka :D

I found it annoying that a lot of the smaller shops seemed to only have one size for their clothes, so they were either too small or too big. Apparently it's because the Japanese engage in a lot of retail therapy, buying without trying, and end up never wearing them. That's what I was told.... Hmmm. Clothes shopping in Japan stresses me out a little - there's always a shrill-voiced shop assistant yabbering in your ear recommending clothes and telling you what looks great, so you end up feeling pressured to buy something. Urgh.

Oh, I like Nagoya too! Has childhood memories for me. Nara was nice, but I didn't get to spend enough time there.

I think the most depressing place I've been to in Japan has got to be Nagano city. So drab and lifeless! The surrounding towns and villages (onsen!!) were pleasant, but the city, yeurgh!

I've never been west of Osaka. Definitely want to. Some day. :)

And I've never been to Nagano XD;; I think my least favorite place was Koya-san. It was fascinating to visit, but the place we ended up staying was not quite what I had expected. I had explained to the person making reservations that I do not eat any meat including seafood and she assured us this temple was vegetarian, and then one meal consisted of some clams and noodles and I thought I was going to be ill from the smell. lol It didn't help our room, while huge, reeked of mothballs and the toilet smelt too strongly of artificial cleaners. So I wasn't eating and was being assaulted by horrible smells!! Oh and the day I went was the one day a year the funicular doesn't run and for my first time ever I got motion sick from the bus going to Koya! I I ever went back I would day trip only. lol

I like Nagoya! I spent a few days there this last trip. :D

I've not been West of Miyajima yet :D

Tokyo Big Sight looks rather impressive at night - I've never seen it in the dark before! Yay for the dealer's pass and the sketches - sounds like a very productive SCC. I know how much you adore Kashi. ^_^

It's so nostalgic seeing your pics of Harajuku. I must've spent more time there than anywhere else after Ikebukuro - not just in Takeshita Dori, since we did a lot of wandering around too, but I will confess to spending quite a long time shopping there. (Me and my Johnny's obsession...damn but it's an expensive hobby...)

I'm glad the pain is easing up. The ibuprofen helping? I'm so sorry you're being incapacitated, though - you've always got so much to be getting on with, it must be incredibly frustrating. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that after another night's rest and healing time, you'll be more mobile tomorrow.

Not including from staying at the hotel near there, when I went to Comiket it was pitch black when I got there lol (2 days in a row!) lol It was a lovely SCC, I got this one GinoSuzu book by this once circle I adore and they even have sex <3 I do love Kashi, even though I am now more fond of GinoSuzu than LuluSuzu lol

I think I've spent more time in Ikebukuro than anywhere else in Tokyo. Oddly enough next would be either Odiba or maybe Nihonbashi/Ginza lol I just lose patience in Harajuku so so so so quickly, though I now love the Volks there because of the amazing cartoons.

It's easing some but it is still really hard to get the things I want to get done and today was gorgeous out and I would have loved to go bicycling and I doubt I will be able to go tomorrow either ~.~ It's also just a pain because Kennis is so helpful lol He's mostly good about thing but is terrible about making dinner >>;

Big Sight looks even more like a UFO/cult headquarters at night than during the day. I didn't think that was possible. XD

Blah to having to work on more papers. At least it is almost summer? >>;

Yeah it's slow going each day is a little more, I'm nearly up to as painful as too much exercise and not like "gah, can not move!!" 08 has sealed my love for Suzaku even more so.

And yes it looks so funky at night, the pictures would be better with a tripod and less rain XD;;

I still can't really walk ^^; I'm not in pain when I just sit now which is nice but if I do even a minimum activity either my leg or my back or both hurt. I'm thinking of making an appointment for the doctor's now. ~.~
