Wow, I'm dumb
Apr. 2nd, 2008 10:39 pmI feel foolish. After reading through the information that came with my Passport I saw that my proof of citzenship (in this case my earlier Passport) would return to me separately, and lo and behold in another envelope arriving with the regular mail my original passport returned to me so I can admire my many stamps.
HAPPINESS
In other news, would anyone like a copy of Princess Masako, Prisoner of the Chrysanthemum Throne before I post it on Paperback Swap? It's just not working for me at all. I tried reading and quickly found I wanted to strangle the author with his odd Australian provincialism and bad attitude. (I personally don't see anything tacky about the pregnant Licca-chan made to coincide with Masako's pregnancy. Licca is an amazing role model, she's half Japanese and half-French, becomes a diplomat and gets her husband to take her family name, one can argue she's everything Masako would have liked to have been.) Anyway, if someone wants it, I would love some money for shipping, particular if you're International, but I also might be willing to send it Media Mail for free. >>;
Since I couldn't finish Princess Masako I've started The United States of Arugula and utterly delightful book which is a definite pleasure to read at the gym. :D
