I know I paid for Expedited, but I did *NOT* expect to receive my Passport today! o_O; I think it's barely been a week! I guess that is one less worry. lol The only sad thing is they claimed they would return your old one to you and mine is not there. I'm a bit heart broken since I had all those pages of stamps. (Plus it was the easiest way to keep track of all my trips to Japan)

I should have all my hotels booked now and things seem to be moving along, and happily the dollar is now worth more than 100 yen again! Though of course I pre-paid for most of my hotel rooms lol I should probably try to get my rail pass soon while the $ is ascending and not at 97.

I'm not so worried so long as I don't get stuck in Japan lol I am flying out on the 23rd on purpose so that I had an extra day to make it to Japan in case of probs. My flight to CA should have no probs, it's a 757 and my sister lives in San Fran (as does my sister in law) in case my flight to NGO has probs. Though I am hoping by the 23rd they've made more a dent on fixing planes since that's 3 weeks off (and my flight leaving NGO is another 2 weeks after that.)

At the moment, my flights are all fine right now though. Plus, I'm flying Business Class and I have Elite Status so they're more inclined to help me reach my destination in a timely manner.

For the Frequent Flier program? If you travel a lot it's worth it. This is the 3rd flight I've personally taken to Japan for $50 because of turning in miles. XD; But again, I am not just a member, I have Elite (oh a dirty word for doll people XD; ) Status, in this case, I'm Premier Exec (http://www.united.com/page/middlepage/0,6823,1164,00.html) now. I suspect that is why I got a free upgrade to 1st Class and why I got upped to Business Class coming form KIX. I've been Premier, the lowest level of Elite since 1999. :D

I'd love to fill this one up, though I suspect I won't be going back to Europe. Though of course now I can get stamps if I go to Canada lol

I know I'm totally in awe of it arriving this fast. They said 3 weeks so I was hoping the week after next at the earliest, talk about Expedited though XD;;; I wonder how long the regular Passports would have taken!

I just feel sad because I'd actually managed to fill my old one up with stamps which had been a secret fantasy of mine since I was a small child lol 20 or so trips to Japan and 2 to Europe will do that. XD;

I just travel since I live 7 miles from where I grew up and maybe 8 or 9 from where I was born lol

Sadly, with my current job, I can only take off time to visit my family at Christmas and maybe ComicCon.

I grew up in Maryland and Virginia, went to high school and college in South Florida, grad school in Boston, and now I live in L.A. So I have gotten around a little bit ^^

I've lived elsewhere, I've just spent most of my life within 12 miles of here. lol

I went to college in OH and lived in Houston for 1 year. I've been to a bunch of other states and nothing compares to NY for me, I would not want to live anywhere else.

I might try to contact the passport agency to see if I can get it back but I guess it would be jut additional clutter. >>;

That's a good idea. If you really want it back (which you do), then I would say it's worth the trouble of contacting them.
