Japan!

I'm sorry in advance if I don't read or miss some of anyone's posts, I'm in Japan and between going out sightseeing and horrible jet lag, I'm not sure how much I will be reading. So if anyone has anything they want me to know please comment on my posts as it is the fastest way to reach me, or email me. ^^;

Anyway, Business class on NY to SFO is wonderful and they give you your own personal little movie player as well as food. *__* I mostly ate fruit because I'm trying hard not to upset my stomach and to be healthy. On the movie player I at long last got to see Transformers! My vote, too much people and not enough Transformers. >>; No one grew up watching the cartoon wanting to see Spike and Sparkplug, we all watched it for the Transformers themselves. Unfortunately, SFO to NRT was completely full. It was cramped and the food was unappetizing and 747s don't have little screens for movies. I slept, read and watched my ipod. I so hope I get Business class from SFO to NY. >>;

Customs went super fast and no problems with my passport. It took 45 minutes from the plane touching down for me to go through customs, change money, get my keitai, turn in my rail pass and book some trains and catch a NRT to Tokyo. Yeah for all carry ons! I met a DoA person for dinner, went to Nakano Mandarake and saw tons of Unoa, a 2k Yukinojo and a $750 School C sd boy with jointed body. (That was the tempting one lol)

Today is my Geass event which I am about to start getting ready for.

BTW I found out why it was so hard to book a room for Saturday night, today is not only the Geass event but the Tokyo City Marathon! It should make triyng to cross Chuo dori lots and lots of fun. >>; This will actually be my second Tokyo City Marathon in Tokyo. lol

Glad you made it OK! (And boo to the plane being packed on the SF - Japan leg -- ugh. Hate that.) Hope the Geass event was fun, and can't wait to hear about it. (The Mao x Orange section was huge, right? XD) Take care!

I think it was because of the Lunar New Year, at least that was the suggestion that was made to me as to the cause.

OMg the Geass event... *____* I almost bought you incredibly porny the Emperor x Orange (no I'm not kidding) but couldn't decide if you wanted to see them get it on lol)

Sadly, I didn't really see any doujinshi featuring the new characters.

Hi Rachel, Your trip sounds both smooth and fun! I just saw a notice on the Castle web site about celebrating their 15th anniversary (1993-2008). Not sure what it is all about, a history display? & it seems to include an opportunity to order. I think it probably conflicts with your departure for Kyoto, but I am not sure what time you are leaving that day - this Licca Castle 15th Anniversary Event is in Tokyo on Sat 2-22 from 12 to 8 and then on Sunday 2-23 from 9 to 3 in Akihabara at the Tokyo Metropolitan Small Business Center. One minute from the Akihabara JR station, admission free. Sorry I can't really tell if it's worth trying to go to it or not! The translation says "We love our history, please enjoy!"

Blah, I think that saturday I am going to visit friends south of where I am now (which is 1 1/2 hours south of Osaka) and Sunday is I doll Osaka and I wanted to go.

That's rather disappointing. Grrr I meant to make it to Toy Park and forgot! I so need to next time I want to buy some findings.

BTW did you get the holiday card I sent to you???
