A friend of mine in Kyoto is interested in possibly starting up a Tenshi no Sato service. So if anyone wants to be her test case, preferably someone who wants a SD or SD-13 cause I want more points. >>; We're going to be placing a Tenshi no Sato order.
The price will be:
47,300 yen for MSD +$20 (her fee)+shipping to the US (about 4500 yen)
81,740 yen for SD girl, SD boy, SD-13 girl +$20 (a tiny fee for her)+shipping to the US (about 6000 yen)
87,200 yen for SD-13 boy+$20 (a tiny fee for her)+shipping to the US (about 7200 yen)
Unless the $ to yen moves a lot from right now please use 100 yen to the dollar to calculate.
The additional 1100 yen on each of those prices is the cost of delivery service to her apartment. I will be with her to place the FCS order and will be collecting the information as well as the money. Whoever accepts this offer I will give her email address to. I should also hopefully be in Japan around the time the completed doll is finished, though I am hoping she will check over the doll herself and then send it onto you without me being involved, (But for those concerned about the transaction I should be in Japan a little after the doll is completed (if you want a face-up) so I can check up on things if worse comes to worse!)
Since I am getting nothing but points for any of my work, I would prefer someone who can pay at least 50% of the cost now and someone who is paying with bank transfer or balance. If you really want to use credit/debit PayPal I will need to charge fees.
Anyone interested please either comment or email me (yuutafan)(AT)(gmail), please fix it so it makes sense, I don't want more spam.

Date: 2008-02-11 03:24 am (UTC)Anytime you buy something from Volks in Japan (except in person at Dolpas where instead you are not charged sales tax) you can receive points.
Anyone who goes to Volks in Japan can get a point card good for cash purchases but one must be a VIP or VS member to get points from credit card purchases.
The system is rather convoluted in terms of the points value though. I believe nearly every single Japanese store or merchant has some sort of point system. Andersen's bakery gives stickers that once you collect a certain # you get some money back as does Mister Donut. Animate also offers points.

Date: 2008-02-11 04:03 am (UTC)I have quite a few points cards: Animate, K-books, Volks, because I go to Japan a lot and have bought enough to make them all useful. Animate has the easiest system to understand. You get 1 point for every 1000 yen spent. Once you've gotten 20 points you can either get 1000 yen off or use the point for special merchandise, like a ticket to see the Geass premier *_______* In the olden days, when you got 60 points you finished a card and would get a free phone card as well as an additional 1000 yen off. K-books and Volks have complicated systems and Mandarake is one of the few Japanese chains with no point cards as far as I know.

Thanks a lot!

Date: 2008-02-12 06:08 am (UTC)If you have the money now, I'm willing to buy in stock things for people since I'm going on 2/22. But since I'm not going to be able to bring anything big home with me I would need full payment including International shipping in advance. It's whatever the actual price is, no buying fee. If you don't have the money now, I can ask my friend but I just don't what she will do yet. ^^;

Date: 2008-02-12 06:33 am (UTC)yeah... unfortunately I don't have the extra funds right now as I just bought 2 dolls and am going out of town this weekend. I think I need to restrict my spending for the next month or so. >_>;;
I *might* just wait until December. Since Gina and I are planning a Japan trip for then. But I am always keeping my options open. I am always looking at the different offered services.
Thanks a lot!
