sumeragiskank is visiting me, so I have not been on-line much. I tried to make some time to work on the new penal-tea update which should go up sometime tomorrow and we're still arguing about the fanart contest. ^o^

I also got to see kosquarepelli and I would highly recommend checking out her amazing piccies of WK/PoT. I'm sure no one is surprised to know I adore the way Omi/Yuuta looks.

My mother made me a new hat. It's pink and pretty, and so girly. I hope to share pictures of it soon.

Anyway, I'm now friended to delfeus, fujis, reynardine, and ryoma_sama. *waves* I added delfeus cause I was so amused by her response to a recent post to tenipuri_yaoi.

Anyway, said post and the fact that I'm just a pain in the butt sometimes, has prompted this rant....



I started watching PoT in June 2002, at that time, I did not know really anything about the series or knew anyone else who was watching it. From relatively early one, I became a MomoRyo fangirl *shock, yes I know, everyone just thinks of me as Fujicest, but I started with MomoRyo* but I had no other pairing I shipped. From the start, I did not *SEE ANY TEZUFUJI* cause you know what, it's not there! It's so *SUBTLE* you need to be on crack to see evidence for it. It was completely created by fangirls who wanted to see pretty tennis boys fuck. Now, I have nothing against this, I feel that way about SengokuxMizuki and my new favorite Tezuka pairing, which I ship rather hard. (And *SHOCK* he is seme!) But there is *NO EVIDENCE* for TezuFuji, Tezuka and Fuji don't even GET ALONG WELL! And please, no whining from TezuFuji fans about how they're being oppressed. That is just so sad and pathetic, cause your fricking pairing is among the most popular pairings in the English fandom, so please get a life. I've mostly held my tongue, but I decided after a recent post to tenipuri_yaoi and the fact I was feeling bitchy, that I was not going to be completely silent anymore.

Not only is TezuFuji a crack pairing that has no evidence, makes no sense in the context of the series, and just completely sucks... But I wish TezuFuji fans could spend a few seconds to think about what they're saying and engage their brains. (Which I know is a challenge for some of them.) I mean, I hate TezuFuji, and so, *shock* I do not write it. I do not try drawing it. If you do not like a pairing, don't draw it and then denigrate the pairing. I mean really, didn't your families teach you any manners or at the very least some common sense or courtesy. Also, while I'm on this, Tezufuji fans seem to think they're some sort of born-again Christian sect, and need to constantly share their devotion to the pairing. Leaving a comment on a fic, that has nothing to do with Tezuka or Fuji, on how much you love TezuFuji makes you look brain dead. Think about this in the future.

Yes, there is evidence for MizukiYuuta, I'm not going to pretend there isn't. But if you're going to claim it's true love, and Mizuki really cares about Yuuta, I have to ask you, did you watch episode 36??????? I mean, I'm not even going to go into the manga, where Mizuki SAYS "It was really easy to manipulate the stupid younger brother who only thought about his older brother." since most English speaking fangirls seem to ignore the manga. Mizuki does not try to get Yuuta to join St. Rudy's for Yuuta' "best" interest. Mizuki *MANIPULATES* a naive 12 year old boy because he can. Mizuki *TEACHES* Yuuta a tennis move that could *SERIOUSLY* INJURE him and does not *CARE* so long as the team wins! He does not WARN Yuuta of the dangers and let Yuuta decide, noooooooooo, he just takes advantage of a 12 year old boy. It's an abuse of power and trust. Mizuki *IS* the most evil character we see in PoT. While Keigo might try to ruin Tezuka's arm, Tezuka is not on Keigo's *TEAM.* Keigo does NOT have a responsibility to look after Tezuka's best interests. Keigo is also not practically 2 years older than Tezuka. (And yes, the age difference between Mizuki and Yuuta is almost that large.) Yuuta does not show any sort of interest, romantic or otherwise, in Mizuki, after he loses to Ryoma. Yuuta seems horrified, in the anime-only part of 40, where Mizuki promises to help Yuuta train, and in 71, Yuuta leaves Mizuki and Yanagisawa's company to seek out Ryoma *AS SOON AS THEY SEE THE OTHER BOYS*

As for Yuuta being seme to Mizuki....

All I have to say is, you enjoy your nice little crack, I have no idea where you found it, but you're on crack.

I disagree. Yuuta must be saved from the manipulative bitch known as Fuji. He's eeevil. Sexy, but evil.

Sorry, that was pure provocation but, at last, don't say Mizuki is the Bad Total Evil. It's false. Oh, yes, I do think he's the worst bastard in PoT (and I love him for this), but he's on the same level as everyone, he's a human, he's a 13 years old boy, and he can change.
If you say that he has no feeling except for his own being, what could you say about Fuji ? The one who really say he loves to see others suffering...

All in all, I think Yuuta has really no luck, having to choose between Sadist Fuji and Evil Mizuki. But at last, I prefer him with Mizuki, 'cause I love him, and 'cause I'm a TakaFuji whore.

I agree. I like TezFuj like I do many many other pairings (for instance, yes, Fujicest) but I have never seen any of the TezFuj fans act like you do. None of the pairings is canon and a fandom is there so people can enjoy playing around with canon. Don't forget Momo is one of the only guys that shows obvious interest in a girl (he blushed around Ann), but that doesn't mean that you can't write MomoRyo and make it work.

is just not true. Makes me doubt you've even seen the series. I suggest you (re?)watch the eps about Yuuta and those concerning Tezuka's arm. People who don't get along, don't show personal concern for each other.

I have read lots of tenipuri fics and it seemed a very friendly fandom to me, without any childish wars going on. If you would like to see more of you fave pairings, your time was much better spent writing a fic about them instead of insulting people because they don't write what you want to read.

I do agree that no yaoi pairing in the series could be considered canonical, as the only canonical pairings we are given are NanjirohxRitsuko, which is what I believe Ryoma's mother's name is, though I may be wrong, I don't have Genius 0 on hand at the moment, and basically any parental pairing. However, there are those that seem more probable than others, and I am perfectly fine with people shipping whatever pairing they like, so long as they do not force it on me. I am not forcing anyone to stop liking TezuFuji, nor am I forcing anyone to like Fujicest. I was merely venting my extreme aggravation over a pairing I do not like in the least, which was in part caused by a post in a public forum that did in fact mock my fave pairing, in my own livejournal. I believe I am allowed to say whatever I want in my livejournal, and TezuFuji fans are free to say whatever they want in theirs. I don't read theirs, and I am not making them read mine.

I have watched the series, and the eps about Yuuta MANY times. And I'm still rather sure of the fact that Fuji was focused entirely on his brother during those eps. And seeing as how I consider myself much more a follower of the manga than the anime, concerning Tezuka's arm injury, according to Konomi, Fuji doesn't run onto the court when Tezuka falls down. He stays right beside Yuuta. In fact, Yuuta looks more concerned than Fuji does. I do not see any sort of special concern on Fuji's part towards Tezuka in the anime, and the feeling I get from them is of two people who may respect each other as players, though that is in question because Fuji does not devote himself to the team like Tezuka does, but do not like each other and tolerate each other with a forced politeness. Fuji showing concern is him humiliating Mizuki for hurting his brother, or taking up Taka's bloody racket and vowing to play seriously for him. It is not him responding to a question from Tezuka with "Oh?" and then spacing out and thinking about Yuuta.

As for Momo blushing over Ann, Ohtori blushed over Shishido and Yuuta blushes at Fuji ^_~ I actually think the real crush with Ann is Kamio, as it's really been pushed. I don't think Momo is aware of women, unless they have a penis and/or are holding a hamburger.

I was not complaining about the lack of Fujicest fanworks, as not only do I write fics myself, but I have several friends who write and draw art. I am also quite happy with my Fujicest doujinshi collection. I am not demanding people stop writing their TezuFuji or YuutaMizuki fics, I just do not read them. I just ask that if they decide to draw or write a Fujicest fic, they don't denigrate the pairing in their comments.

I don't mind people thinking Fuji is evil....

While I think Fuji can at times be selfish and a bit self-centered, I do honesty think he cares about his little brother. His obsession with playing people, who he feels hurt his brother, is proof of that, along with the fact that the only time we see Fuji looking angsty is when he is watching his brother play Ryoma.

To be honest, I'm not 100% sure why you read my LJ, since it seems rather clear my opinions run contrary to yours and you're not linked to me via my friend list. ^^

BTW, Yuuta does have another choice, he has Saeki. ^^ Saeki seemed very concerned about him when Saeki talked to Fuji. Saeki is quite good-looking and is even possibly a nice person.

I just sort of regret that I don't have more doujinshi featuring it. I have noticed that recently, Saeki has been replacing Mizuki as the bad guy of choice for Fujicest doujinshi. I find this rather interesting, as to me, Saeki seems a much more dangerous threat.

You know just when the two are together, they'll act like such males. Hahahaha, violent. Even if it's not a coupling, I even enjoy the friendship aspect. It doesn't seem like Yuuta has a lot of close friends in the series, so having him relax around Saeki just appeals to me on a another level.

<--sucker for really good friendships (I'm getting old, rivalries used to be the thing for me x.x)

Anyhoo, it's underratedness is probably because of the anime: since Saeki makes no mention about Yuuta whatsoever, people have to draw the conclusion that Saeki -- childhood friend of Fuji -- would thus know Yuuta by almost sheer default, and that's a lot of work. ^_~

I sort of regret that more Japanese webpages don't feature it; but then, are the Rokkaku-jin even popular? Beyond Dabide and Bane... I have a hard time trying to find anything in relation toward them.

I definitely see Saeki as more of a threat than Mizuki---coupled with the fact that Yuuta's probably comfortable with him (in all honesty, Mizuki and Yuuta have so little in common, I have a hard time seeing the latter relax and let loose around the former), there's the added bonus that I don't think Saeki's really... uhm, mentally stable. O.o; Watching him split between nice!mode and marked!mode without even a bat of an eye, and then act like nothing happened... I dunno, something's not right with that boy.

Then there's the fact that Saeki's really rather clever--and scheming, and he's able to exchange the polite-insulting words with Fuji, so I think there's just a whole other level of 'threat' involved with Saeki being the 'bad guy' versus 'Mizuki.'

(And thus Fuji's antagonism toward Saeki is even more amusing, in the Fujicest respect. ^o^)

But hey, we all know that Saeki's really just interested in either watching the Fuji-kyodai snog or joining in himself. OT3 baby! ::snrksnrk!::
