For those who don't know, I am unfortunately cursed that I have a guy's sense for dirt. ie. I could have a house nearly messy enough to support new forms of life and I won't necessary notice until said forms of life come over and bite me or one of the cats brings me one as a gift. lol

But yesterday my mother complained again about the house, so I decided to actually try to clean the kitchen. I re-organized the cabinets as well as mopping the floor and made a discovery... I actually have a lot of counter space! I am in awe. Tonight after baking I might work on the entry way and living room, who knows, maybe I have lots of room there too secretly lol

Yes, I'm pretty much the same way when it comes to housework. It's always a wonder to me what interest stuff I come across when I actually get around to cleaning. "Dang, I had no idea we still had (whatever item)."

Yes, I just found a container of BPAL fragrance I misplaced months ago. lol

Mostly though I just found the counter space and a lot of dirt. >>;;; It's nice cause now I can easily roll out dough. ^_^

I'm the same way. ^^; Stuff tends to pile up in my room until I just can't take it anymore and I go on a cleaning spree.

I'm hoping to work on some more tonight or tomorrow but it partially depends on how my baking goes. I am making pies for the homeless and have to make pie crust. lol

We managed to actually have more than I would have thought and we still have another corner or two to clean, plus I have my random bags of random heirloom garlic. XD;

But no, cleaning is not my forte.

See, that's why we managed just fine sharing a hotel room for a week with no cleaning service - you don't sense it and I can't see it without my glasses on!

But yes, it's amazing what kind of counter space you can manage to uncover in kitchens if you really try. I don't know about yours but stuff just seems to accumulate in the corners of mine, and then we clear it out and discover that wait, we don't actually need to keep that box/toaster/bottle/whatever there and it is usable space.

Welllllllll

When I am staying with someone else I am much much neater too. lol I feel like it is very rude when staying at someone's house or staying in a hotel room to let my things get all over. I'm very careful to try to keep things packed away and to not let clutter accumulate.

However in my own house it is a completely different story. Since it's my own personal space I'm much more likely to let things go. And yes I found I had some things on my counter that just really did not need to be there like Kosher wine.

I'm just never motivated enough to do any cleaning and things start to collect dust... And spiders start crawling out ToT
