More Success!

After waiting and waiting and hoping someone would request books from me, 2 people have! Go me! I now just need to pack them up and I can mail them out. :D I'm rather pleased because once they've been received I can request 2 more books.

I'm still waiting for all of my books, I have 3 outstanding requests, one of which is a book for yanchamonkey.

So thankfully, I'm now pretty much settled for hotels. I'm going to be trying several new places so wish me luck. One of the places in Tokyo comes highly recommended from muscatlove. I also decided to splurge and try the Hibiya Park, because I like its Shimbashi location and the rooms look extraordinarily large for rooms in Japan. For those who have never been to Japan before and think hotels are outrageously expensive, well it all depends on where you are from. My most expensive night is $100 at the Ariake, which is a 5 minute walk from Tokyo Big Sight, which makes the price worth it. Most of the other hotels are closer to about $80 a night. All of them are within 6 minutes of a station, all are western style and have private bathrooms and I believe LAN sockets so I can have internet. While I like sleeping on futons, I get to do that when visiting friends, so I don't need to at a hotel as well. I'm also trying some place new in Osaka which again was picked for its location and is near a Midousuji subway stop. I'd have stayed in the same hotel I used last time in Osaka but the beds are doubles.

Are you sure it's really OK? I don't mind hacing to stay in a hotel and I will still bring you your DVDs (if you can get them to me before I leave) and we can still meet for dinner or something.

I just feel really bad since I don't know when I am arriving in Kyoto Station and I want to head out very early on Saturday to go to my event. ^^;

If it's really really OK with you, I should be arriving in Kyoto Station on the 5th, which is the only night I'd spend cause I'm leaving on the 2:30 shinkansen for Tokyo. (Though I will be back in Kansai later in the trip and with becroberts in tow.

Of course it's okay, silly! I have to get up early on Saturday anyway, because it's open school day. Plus, I need something to motivate me to clean up my apartment. ^^;

Do you think you could bring some dried cranberries and iodized table salt with you? :x

Yes of course! Just let me know if you want the cranberries sweetened or not. I usually bring dried blueberries as a snack for me. :D


Ohhhhhhopen school! Yeah, I know company makes me want to clean too XD;

I just need to be up super super early. I think I am supposed to be at my event by 7:45, are you really really sure, cause I'm pretty sure that means leaving around 7ish so prob getting up at 6:30.

If you're really OK with that can we meet in Kyoto train station the night of the 5th?

If you email me your cell phone number I will call or text you once I am on a train from Nagoya to Kyoto. (It takes about 1 hour)

But... if you see any Kamen Rider Den-O (Kid's Sentai show) swag/cool memorabilia while on your trip, I'd be extremely grateful if you could pick it up. Of course I'll send you $ for the cost/troubles/shipping. It's just a silly Japanese Kids show me and my girlfriend have recently gotten into and Season 2 is airing currently. XD

I can do my best? Though I can't make any guarantees just because I always have a harder time with shows I don't follow myself. Ask poor sumeragiskank, I think it is why she has tried so hard to get me into Bleach and Naruto. (Neither worked)
