I'm beginning to wonder if I have Lyme Disease. For those who don't know, I have had a weird rash or bruising resembling a birthmark on my left leg for more than a month now. I don't remember when it appeared, it was some time post Japan and I definitely had it when [livejournal.com profile] sumeraiskank, [livejournal.com profile] kosquarepelli, and [livejournal.com profile] vincentkoyha came to visit as [livejournal.com profile] kosquarepeli thought it was a birthmark. I had thought it was bruising from my luggage except... I still have it.

BLAH.

Other common Lyme Disease symptoms include fatigue (Did I not sleep well and then work out, or is it fatigue?) and muscle ache (again, the gym or something more?). I think this week is going to involve a visit to the doctor's.

Lyme disease involves a bullseye mark, though, doesn't it?

It's best to see a doctor if you get any strange marks, though... I hope it's nothing major, or something that's easily treatable!

According to Wikipedia:
Patients may have an expanding rash, erythema migrans (EM), at the site of the tick bite. Most patients with EM do not recall a deer tick bite. The characteristic "bull's-eye" rash with central clearing is not the most common form; homogeneously red rashes are more frequent

Mine has sort of a weird ladder shape. I'm really sort of concerned just because the rash/skin condition is still there.

I'm wondering if I was bit by a tick when I did this nature walk with Kennis in mid/late May.

I hope it's something easily treatable too ;;_;;

Please get it checked out with the Doctor.

They usually do a blood test.

My Mom, her dog Babbit and my dog Augie all had lyme disease. Bad ticks up by my mom's.

If you got it. The sooner you get treatment the better.

It could also be a rash from something else but good to rule out.

Yeah, I'm going to call the doctor tomorrow.

I'm just so less than amused. ~.~ If it is Lyme I suspect I got it doing this nature hike where there were a lot of woodsy things I did in mid to late May. I'm so looking into sprays for the future if this is Lyme. ~.~
