When sumergiskank came to visit last week, she brought up her Yos, so between the two of us we had quite the little gathering.



Yo Kindergarten Class picture, can you guess which are mine and which are Kim's? BTW is it just me or does Mamu make the cutest little hobbit? I am so tempted to try and get him a little fake fur for his feet. lol

I admit, the Yos are prob my favorites in terms of size. They're so portable and so darn cute. That and I always loved 1/6. lol

I've never actually seen the movie, but Kim insisted I needed to watch the video, and I'm so addicted to the song now. It does not help that I am a huge 80's buff. Other than the video quality being higher, it is such a perfect 80's video. Are the other songs as amusing?

BTW (and the reason for this icon) have you heard anything from Nikita? According to Hitasura we were supposed to hear something by the end of the week and I know *I* have not.

I confess I completely LIVID about the whole thing for a myriad of reasons and imagine it must be very frustrating to you after what happened with Vanillashine earlier. ~.~

Yeah, she emailed me last week to say she's sorry about all the trouble. Her surgery should be happening sometime this month. She's getting her sister to try and help her with the refunds.

It's an unfortunate situation and I don't blame people for getting frustrated about it all.

Hopefully she'll be able to be well enough to give us some sort of detailed explanation soon :

So she didn't explain how she had no idea how she didn't know the order wasn't placed 4 months after she supposedly placed it?

At the moment, I just really want my refund and the fact that she hasn't even sent me an email is rather concerning and makes me worry I am not going to get my refund in a timely fashion.

I ordered two pairs of eyes. I honestly can't really remember what colors they were, but I think one was an aqua color? How many pairs did you get?

Hang in there, Rachel. At least you know you're not alone? I know that's crappy comfort logic, but it's something ...uh, I guess :/

I'm getting 2 too. One pair was a lavender color and the others were a turquoise. Or I mean I ORDERED...

I would feel a lot better if I received some sort of email message. What exactly did she say in yours? It makes me concerned I am going to be overlooked or be last to get my refund.

She basically said the stuff I mentioned. I dunno, maybe she felt obligated to email me because we are personal friends (or that's the impression I got). She told me it was a hard email to write. Her eye condition (http://www.revoptom.com/handbook/March_2004/sec6_2.htm) makes it hard for her to do anything - even sleep. I do not envy what she's going through at all. (And I'm not mentioning this to guilt trip you, but to inform you what's going on.)

I don't think she emailed everybody but you though, do you think?

I don't know if she's emailed everyone but me, I asked in the thread.

I feel bad for her eye condition, but this group order has obviously been a problem for quite some time. She does live with/near her family and she could ask for their help when dealing with things like emails and refunds. I know this sounds really harsh, but she also does have a responsibility to the buyers and she has a significant amount of our money. Between you and me alone, she has $260.

I wrote to her in April when her condition had not deteriorated as badly, and she assured me the order was fine just had been placed later than she had said it was being placed originally. Ignoring the fact that she placed the order 2 weeks later than planned, it does bother me that she had no idea in April, that our order was not placed at all. At that point it HAD been 3 months. Couldn't she have umm checked?

Also, if she felt her condition was becoming more acute couldn't she have arranged for a friend or family member to help take some responsibility in regards to this order?

And personally, I would write to the people I am not as close to first if sending emails, since they're less likely to be forgiving than my actual friends. Though that could just be me.

Yes, this is very harsh, and I am sorry if you are actually good friends with her for sounding this way, but for me I am quite put out. My Christmas gift for one of my best friends was nearly ruined and I'm stuck waiting to see when and if I get a refund of my $130.

It's awesome to see them next to each other so you can really appreciate how different they are. :) (I am guessing that the Yos that look like they might want to kill me are Kim's.)

Yes. XD;; I figured while they were visiting it made a great photo shot. For NY Dolpa I'll have to try to get another shot, I wish I knew someone well who had a Yuki or Rengemaru/Suzuna for completeness' sake.

Yeah, I always thought a lot of the Yos looked more similar to one another than they actually do. Personally, I think there is a definite resemblance between Shin/Lin and Kasumi and Kuuta/Chintasu and Mamu (though Mamu's mouth is not like any of the other Yos)

And yes, the Yos that look like they might kill you are Kim's XD;; Lulu is my only evil Yo.

Hehehehe I'm glad you enjoyed it! If I can manage to actually come home from the gym by a decent time tomorrow, I will try to get some more pictures. :)
