Rainy Saturday

So once again, I have no electricity, but fortunately, at the moment, my parents still do. The big negative is I had to help my father learn to use Windows Media Player to search for some radio station so he can listen to the Wisconsin game. (they have no cable lol) The worst part of having no electricity is after about 5-10 minutes, they try to get the power back on and the microwave sadly beeps to no avail.

I can't believe I am leaving for Japan on Thursday morning. And for some reason Volks has not yet responded to my canceled Sato reservation. o_O I am going to have to try to recontact them, since I am not going 9/9. ^^;;;

I went to get traveler's checks today, so it is one more big thing done before my trip. I really ought to charge the old ipod and uhh pack, but I can't do laundry until we have power again.

I'm working on a new ficlet, I've done about paragraph, maybe I will even finish. XD;

Eep... while I'm sorry for all you getting hit by Ernesto now, I'm just glad it didn't hit South Florida very hard, which is still recovering from Wilma. Not to mention my parent's new condo is under construction at the moment o.o

Yay for Japan trip! If I ever make it over there myself, I'll have to ask you for advice on stuff, since you are the expert :D

Didn't you have a nearby hurricane just recently in the last month or so? Sheesh! It sucks being without electricity. :( Bad weather, no biscuit.

It's not so bad, we got power back now, it was just frustrating since just 5 houses over and behind us they had power, it was just the 15 or so houses at my end of the block. lol

actually, i think ernesto is the first to come near us, what caused the last black out is still not really known or explained, they now think it was a microburst. o_O
