Once again, I've managed to wake up much earlier than anyone else I am with, even the person who just arrived from the US slept later than me. lol This bodes well though, as Thursday is day 2 of SCC, Friday is Dolpa, Sat I am going to Osaka and Sunday is Osaka Comic City.

Originally, I'd planned to drag poor [livejournal.com profile] muscatlove and [livejournal.com profile] yanchamonkey along to Sato, but upon further reflection I decided I could manage by myself and meet my new Japanese doll friend in Kyoto. (Who had my 2nd Tony waiting for me after selling the first one to [livejournal.com profile] pure_trance lol) I timed my trains to arrive close to noon, and spent close to an hour just wandering Sato before meeting up with my friend. There were very few One-offs this time, but to make-up for it, 2 were Madokas. For those curious, the list was as follows:
SD F13 kimono girl by K. Mayura
SD Sweet Dreams Nono girl in kimono by K. Mayura
SD-13 Lucas by K. Mayura in a cute 1900's style outfit
SD-13 girl Madoka in a kimono by Saifa. She was hands down the prettiest girl Madoka I have ever seen
SD-13 Sweet Dreams Lucas in a kimono also by Saifa
MSD Elise girl by Saifa in Victorian style clothes
SD boy Liz by Valico in a prince outfit (I kept reading Risu and kept thinking Rhys? Reese? Who is that lol)
MSD F-04 by K. Mayura
SD Aya by K. Mayura
F-25 SD girl by Aone
SD-13 Link
SD girl Michael by Valico
Sleeping Myu or Maggie (Can't remember) by Aone
SD-13 boy Madoka by K. Mayura
SD boy Kun
SD-13 Tsukasa by Valico

On this note I would like to state I agree with [livejournal.com profile] sumeragiskank, Tsukasa is most unattractive. His forehead is weird.

I really liked both Madokas, which was interesting as I don't generally like girl Madokas.
I placed two FCS orders and saw nearly all the Kyoto Dolpa outfits for sale, I only bought the Hobbit one though. I also bought a Dolpa guide so I can finally track down some of the dealer's booths.

We got a cake set, and everyone will be surprised to know I got strawberry shortcake and not chocolate cake. lol While we were eating some of the Japanese people I spoke to earlier stopped into the room with a basket of yos. There were 2 Kasumis and 3 Yukis O_O The eyes in their yos were amazing and they told me the dealer who made them was Hitomi-ya. They took a picture of my Anne too, and then asked my name. They were terribly pleased to hear it, as they were Angelique fans and "Rachel" is one of her rivals in the games. They brought in a friend who had Clavis and Lubbis dolls and then did the hinting dance to try and find out if I knew what yaoi was and understood the concept of seme and uke. They were VERY pleased to find out I did understand these concepts and that they were rather popular. I shared my love of AsuKira and various other pairings lol It was rather amusing. Eventually, Sato closed and my friend took me out to Daimaru. In the car we discussed non-Volks BJDs. For those curious, the most popular are the Blue Fairy dolls (TF and PF), LaTi, AngelRegion, and my friend's sister owned DOD Lahoo.

We ate a fast dinner and then I took the shinkansen to Tokyo. It was a short 1/2 mile walk from the station to the hotel I had picked, specifically for its proximity to Doll Show.

Thanks to jet lag, I awoke at 5:45 am for Doll Show and got to Doll Show at 6:45. It will horrify everyone to know I was #139. Doll Show has changed procedure slightly again, and now the actual guide has your # imprinted on the cover. I think once it gets over 400, you are forced to wait in another line for late people lol

I went back to my hotel once I had my number and enjoyed my breakfast that came with my room. Yeah for Western breakfasts!

Once Doll Show started I went first to see the Voleur de Rose booth, where Kyon immediately recognized me before I even saw her. It was really nice, and we talked for a bit, before I raced to NDR and one of the booths selling PF clothes. I went up and down a few aisles before I found Hitomi-ya the eye place the people with the yos has recommended to me. The line was out the door, and I ended up waiting an hour! Though I now have eyes the same color as my text on AIM which appeals to be in an odd way.
I walked up and down a lot of aisles looking at lots of outfits and taking lots of pictures. I later joined Kyon again for longer conversation and met some friends of her.

Exhausted and knowing it was getting close to 3, I went to make seat reservations to go back to Kansai. I tried the new banana chocolate frappucino while waiting for my kuroshio at Shin-Osaka and met [livejournal.com profile] yanchamonkey for Indian in Wakayama.

Yesterday was a relatively relaxing day, though the lovely little pastry shop in Kate's town was closed. We took a train down to see [livejournal.com profile] muscatlove We got to do karaoke and they were forced to hear me try to sing "Reason." It was so much fun. I also got my big package of items Jenn had gotten for me. Overall my favorite is the picture of catboy!Yuuta she drew for me the Heian YuuYuu puzzle. *_____________* I also got some new doll clothes, my Clamp chess set extra kings and a piece box. Though I think I need to ship it. ^^; I also got some manga. I did to look through Jenn's to see if there are any I want to try and buy. Damn I like my Gush book, the art is surprisingly cute. I sort of want the other one I saw now.

Today we are relaxing more before going to the nearby mall to get ice cream and go to the cute store. I need to make reservations and buy stamps while I can since everything closes for Golden Week soon.

I will try to edit some pictures tonight.
