4 brides for one brother
Nov. 25th, 2005 01:45 amLook, Rachel's sappy LJ post with lots of cuts for those who don't want to read it lol.
So I survived the wedding, and the most interesting aspect, which I should note is NOT typical for ultra-orthodox weddings. The groom's sisters and mother were wearing what looked like.. umm.. well.. bridal gowns. When I first walked in and saw one sister I thought the hall was holding two weddings that evening! It's not just that their dresses were off-white, they had ballgown skirts, lots of lace, and well, they looked like bridal gowns.
There was a wall of shrubbery separating the dance floor and the band attempted to make us all go deaf. We left at 11 and dessert had not yet been served. o_O However if dessert was anything like the main course, it was most definitely skipable. The appetizers were OK but.. well I wouldn't have *MY* overpriced event there.
The highlight, when the groom's fratboy friend grabbed my brother's hands and lead him onto the dance floor.
I am so thankful for my husband, more so than anything else, and today was a prime example of why. At 8:00 am, EMS appeared at the door with my dolls and he went to get them in his boxers. lol (And he looked mighty cute too!) Then, he called me today so I would not miss my chance to enjoy the chocolate fountain at Synagogue. If that's not love, I don't know what is.
I'm also thankful for my cats, who keep my bed warm and fill our house with shed fur.
I'm thankful for my family, who live near me mostly and I get to see them a lot.
I'm thankful for my friends, who sometimes shake me when I am being indecisive, cheer me up when sad, and think of me.
I'm thankful for YuuYuu because it amuses me so much.
I'm thankful for my house.
I'm thankful I am going to Japan soon.
I'm thankful my husband turned on the heat. lol
I'm thankful my husband and I are healthy.
I'm thankful for all my possessions.
I'm thankful for the internet and wireless.
I'm thankful for roller coasters.
and
I'm thankful for chocolate fountains.
Who got her two MSD FCS boys and her Sato One Off today, why I did!!!! Much love to a particular friend who loaned me her address and sent them to me.
I will take more, but a few for now..

For those curious, I have Japan dates! Because I am using miles, I've had to change my dates. ^^;; December 15 I leave the US for Kansai flying Business Class *sighs happily* and on the 4 or 5 I leave Narita (Business Class wait list) for NY. I'm so thankful I got Business Class one way, and hopefully will get it coming back. Business Class is so much nicer on long flights, plus I get a plug!

You're insane. Well, I'm thankful for ferris wheels, so there ^_^
Sounds like you're going to have a nice comfortable trip, at any rate. BTW, you know I mentioned I might ask you to pick up KENN's DVD for me? After looking at the screencaps Helen took, I've changed my mind. Sure, he's cute as a button, but I don't think I could watch it without cringing in embarrassment on his behalf.

Date: 2005-11-25 01:54 pm (UTC)Have you decided about MSD vs. SD13, now that you have some basis of comparison?

Date: 2005-11-25 06:10 pm (UTC)It' sort of a new way to do fondue which is more splashy and more people can dip at the same time.
It's sooo good I told my family I wanted a home one for my birthday. lol I hear they have theem at Costco for $50. lol

Date: 2005-11-25 06:17 pm (UTC)He's a Sunlight F-19 done by K. Mayura.
I'm glad you like the two boys! I was afraid Hiroshi would look too young, but he looks 14/15 like I had hoped. I ordered the glasses from Leeke for him. ^_^ BTW do you have any idea how long those things take? I've never done a Leeke Pre-order before. ^^;

Date: 2005-11-25 06:20 pm (UTC)No problem, I might actually pick it up for myself, it depends on how good I am being and how much I've spent elsewhere. I NEED a Seed calendar. I have no shame, and if Kenn wants to act all embarrassing for the camera, lol
I love my wrong dollie families lol I need to take more pictures.
Ferris wheels are good for romantic scenes lol
Is there anything you do want?

Date: 2005-11-25 06:23 pm (UTC)they haven't been spamming me, but I saw the new links to the info page!!!! I hope they show the new LE soon. I don't care about TB #4 the SD-16, I've known about him for weeks, I want to know about Yos and other dolls lol
I think I am going to keep Hiroshi a MSD just because he came out so good. But I might have Marius (and a future Paris) hit on poor Yuuta since it is fun. lol
Maybe I will even get Marius a more Hiroshi like wig and he can stand in occasionally lol

Date: 2005-11-25 11:04 pm (UTC)Ah hah! You've just given me an idea. Now I want Ferris Wheel Fujicest...must work this into next World Domination Campaign fic. Perhaps after they bake the cakes...
Yep, there is something, actually. You recall how you tempted me with SEED Destiny family dj by the nice angsty AsuKira circle? I'd be very interested in that ^_^

Date: 2005-11-25 11:35 pm (UTC)I actually got the idea from a picture I svaed to my hard drive before Team Up's site vanished. It featureed SyuuYuu on a date in Odaiba near the ferris wheel.
YuuYuu also had a ferris wheel at Odaiba date, and in the 2nd CCS movie S+S should have had their moment, and Loveless and the ferris wheel XD;;
Ohhhh OKies cause I have been trying to figure out what to get you for the holidays. Though you'll probably have to wait until I get home from Japan for your package to go out unless I send it from Japan. ^^;

Date: 2005-11-26 12:04 am (UTC)As for holiday presents - looking at your list, I've decided that since I know next to nothing about dolls, I'm going to try my hand at some YuuYuu art for you (sorry, non-smutty!). The pics I draw for friends usually seem to come out better than the ones I do for myself, I just need to find some good references for Yagyuu as I've never tried drawing him before. Yuuta, on the other hand...
Volks 104N and Leeke 29A both fit MSD F-09.
Date: 2005-11-26 04:52 am (UTC)Re: Volks 104N and Leeke 29A both fit MSD F-09.
Date: 2005-11-26 04:57 am (UTC)Maybe I can bring it back to Volks. It goes on but just slides around, and it's not a matter of adding wig stopper, it's the wig cap is too big. I guess i can see if the copper one fits better. ^^;
I tried the copper on the f06 and it fit perfectly.

Date: 2005-11-26 05:04 am (UTC)YEAH!!!!
You so should go on the ferris wheel even though when I went on it, I spent the whole time being scared witless and being laughed at lol.
They may be making the wig caps bigger.
Date: 2005-11-26 05:31 am (UTC)Re: They may be making the wig caps bigger.
Date: 2005-11-26 05:37 am (UTC)Do you think if I brought wig and doll to Sato they might be able to give me on that fits a little better, the size problem is a little ridiculous, it was like the way most Volks wigs swim on a DOC. And I don't want to order the Leeke one if it will have the same problem.

Date: 2005-11-26 06:51 am (UTC)You got two 104N wigs right?
Date: 2005-11-27 05:34 am (UTC)The only way to know for sure that a wig fits great is to try that wig on.
Re: Swimmy wigs
Date: 2005-11-28 03:49 pm (UTC)However, DD wigs seem to fit the smaller SD heads, and SD Cute wigs *vaguely* fit the smaller MSD heads, so perhaps that's Volks' solution.
