Was it that one thread about the Unoa? Someone pointed me to an LJ post made by one of the DoA members that disagreed with me, basically bitching about people who supposedly don't know what they talk about and confusing everyone. I responded and instead of answering back she friends locked the post.

I hate people who think they know it all.

No, it's the thread on the girl visiting Japan. Someone got all obnoxious with me for saying if the girl likes anime there is an Animate in Ikebukuro. First, ummm the Shibuya Mandarake, while huge is not 4 floors... unless they'be been hidding 3 floors from me. lol It's in a sub-sub basement. I think they got the Nakano Sun Plaza Mall which is 4 floors, has tons of anime crap, and has several Mandarake branches confused. Then they got all rude because I mentioned anime things on a Doll forum. ~.~ Like I didn't say as well that the Ikebukuro Prince is near the Ikebukuro Volks. It's just and easy way to visit both on limited time. And why is my post so OT, but the people going on about Closet Child for posts perfectly OK.. Gothic Lolita fashions are about as connected to BJDs as anime.

Oh well... I will probably still post again.. I sort of want to know more about going to Dolpa. Last time I went it was sooooooo different.

Ahhhh, don't let that person stop you from posting on DoA! Yeah, there are some rude people there but generally, the majority are pretty nice. Heh, that person would be dumb not to take your advice! I've read your Japan trip logs since,...2002(?) and I would say you know where the good doll stuff is...that and yoru way around Tokyo!

Just provide the link. DoA is huge maze. It has great stuff and some really cool people....but you do have climb over some bumpy points and dodge a bullet every now and then.

I'm so glad you liked reading about my trips. I'm lazier now and mostly just post to my LJ during them. I am currently planning for Oct 2005 to attend Doll Show 15 and probably December for Dolpa and Comiket.

I admit, I just hate when people contradict me and give wrong information. If people contradict me with correct information, or give wrong information about something I have no knowledge...it doesn't bother me. lol

These dolls are complicated...more so than Jenny in the beginning when they all looked alike.

Plus DoA being set up the way it is ...being huge as it is ...not everyone is corrected if they say or give wrong info.

Anyway... Sato is short for.... Tenshi No Sato
(Tenshi means angel) So I think it means Angel's nest or House of angels or Angel's home.
That is in Kyoto. Because Kyoto is where the Volk's factory, showroom-museum, and store are. Or it is because you can only get the angel Sd there.

There are several Volks stores in Japan. You been to lots of them. Volks stores mostly have models and figures etc. but some carry Super Dollfie. (Maybe more and more will carry them...that is constantly changing.)

Some of these stores just have showrooms where you can see SD but not buy them. Not all volks stores have the same stock.

Of the stores that carry SD...some offer Full Choice System. (FCS)

Full Choice System is where you pick the head...body, hands, feets, eyes, wigs and face-up etc.

Some of the heads you can pick are FCS exclusives. However "exclusive" is my word not theirs. Some of the heads you can choose from are "not exclusive" you get...such as you can get a MSD Mika or Ken head. Marsh got a FCS with a Ken MSD head.

My Gino is a fcs msd F-13 head with elf ears. I picked out the elf ears..from my choice of cat ears, robot ears, elf ears, batwing ears etc. His head is exclusive to FCS.

Full Choice System has wigs you can pick that are exclusive to FCS. I think it is only the color in that particular style that really makes it exclusive.

The hand style I picked out for Gino at the time were exclusive. Then Volks started selling optional msd hands and feet. Now my hands are no longer exclusive. (The reason why I say exclusive is my word not Volks.)

Marsh has a FCS Ken ...but he is not painted as a MSD Ken and he is Beauty White not normal skin tone. So she has a very unique doll.

Now Sato exclusives...Volks has Store exclusive Super Dollfie they only sell at their Kyoto store.
Most of them are the angel dolls...I think. My MSD Tsubaki is one of them. He came with feathered wings and a neutral body...no genitals.

(I knicked named him... Johnny Angel.)

You can only buy these dolls at Kyoto. There are a couple different Angel SD.

You can also get FCS at Kyoto. Some are the same options you can get at other FCS stores ...//some are SATO exclusive or Kyoto exclusive.

My FCS MSD F-08 head is a SATO exclusive. I named him Figaro. He looks simalar to my Hewitt..but is very different if you see him /compared them in person.

There are FCS SATO exclusive heads and skin tone options. Kyoto is the only place you can get "tan" skin tone color. There may be Kyoto exclusive wigs and eyes but I have not heard of them.

There are volks books with picure of the blank faces and options. But not all dolls.

Aimee has pictures/info she has gathered. It needs updating as Volks constantly changes things. It is a good reference point.

I think it is Tsubaski I was asking about because he has the white hair. You can actually pick which LJ icon you use when posting or erplying to a post. I use my keywords to do that. ^^ I think I like Tsubaski's head but I want my boy to have boy bits. lol I'm not so interested in a neutered body.

They had FCS for SDs/SD-13s at the Tenshi no Sumika in Shinjuku in the Studio Alta building from the start, or at least I remember them having it when I ordered Sakura in Nov. 2002. The MSD part is newer.

I get a little confused over which heads are available where. I am going to be in Kansai visiting a friend, so only 1 hour from Kyoto or so, which is why I am curious if I made an appointment and ordered a FCS in Oct if he would be ready in December when I am back in Japan.

And I know what you mean about exclusive. When I bought my Ken he was LE, but if I had known they were about to start making Kens on a regular basis...

I specificlly want 2 boys, and I want the right eye/face shape, and I think Sato would give me the most choices for faces with a FCS, right? I am sort of less enthused with the LEs after my Ken experience, and I like MSD size, the others are just too big. I want both my boys from the same company so they look good together and in proportion. Ideally, I would want want to be a little taller so I guess the long legs body?

Anyway thanks for the info, I might have to bug you in Sept before I go to Japan. I so hope NDR has the new PF things for sale at DS 15!!! I am semi-lusting for a PF Chou and 2 FCS MSD boys. BTW how much are they without all the mark ups again, since I would be buying direct and not through a service.

I'll go over FCS with MSd with you. You can take notes cause i learned lots of little details and tips...to make doll extra special.

It take about 2 months for a FCS to be made. They will ship to Japanese address.

If Rose gets her house together and get a break from traveling. She wants to invite you over to check out her dolls. Hopefuly there will be a meet or two before your trip//and you can check out lots of types of dolls.

If you have good face pictures of your anime characters for your dolls to be...I can help you with make-up questions.

Feel free to post questions also in Tri-State so you can make so regional friends.
