So do any of my Japanese more fluent than I friends know what "TeruTeru Bo-zu" means?

I think they need to sell more items containing Engrish in the US.

On a less fun note, work was blah, spent the day digging through dusty old files removing the people whose files were more than 7 years old. It's unbelievable how many it has been, and I'm still working on "F" o_O Tomorrow I get to use the dictaphone. For the record, I will happily file or use the computer rather than having to use the hellbeast aka the typewriter. I have no idea how people managed using them for so long, it's a pain to get the paper even, and then I press on a key but it's not hard enough for it to show up. -.-;;; I blame all my typewriter isses on my mother, who every time I wanted to use the typewriter said "No, it's not a toy." lol (BTW that was meant to be humorous for the humor impaired as Dave Barry would suggest I need point out.)

I've gotten so many things in the mail now and can't decide what I like best. Spamlot is amusing, but currently British Starlight Express is amusing me. It's just so plain bad! And come on, people on rollerskates pretending to be trains? Rusty sounds so incredibly flaming, and it's so easy to misinterpret nearly every song. And wow, "There's Me" is a much prettier and meaningful song than I remembered, is it bad to think Dinah should have gone to CB?

The weather demons love me, it's no longer hot and humid. Maybe tomorrow I will scan or something.

It's a "doll" made out of a square piece of white cloth, you stuff the middle and tie it with string to make the head, and you tie it at the window or veranda to make the sun come.

Ohhhhh thank you! That is a lovely description, and the teruteru bozu I found seems to have worked! Maybe he's the one who got the weather demons to stop the heat and humidity and give us a nice sunny day. lol

As your connection died I actually was writing to ask when you were going to go pack lol. I tried to wait up for you to get back on-line, but so tired from heavy boxes... ;;_;;

I looked up Teru to see it mean to shine but couldn't figure out how it went together with bozu lol

Yeah, I keep hearing about all the tsunamis. It's not been so rainy here, for which I am thankful, though it has been rainy enough that we don't have drought.
