Waaaaaaaai I am sorry the thank you is so late, but I can't thank [livejournal.com profile] reynardine enough for the Scarlet Pimpernel CD. I so hope if you see this that you are enjoying your summer class. While in all honesty, I do not enjoy all the songs from it, I do enjoy several immensely which makes the CD a very very happy thing. In other CD news, I bought myself Metropolis the 1989 flop British Musical on CD. <3 Yes, it was a flop, but damn I enjoy it so very very much. I'd forgotten how much fun it is, and really "If It's Only Love" is a gorgeous love duet. In 1989, I wanted to buy the CD very much, but it was $50, which was beyond my price range so instead I bought the $20 import record. It feels so good to finally own it in my hands. I'm now semi-patiently waiting for the Japanese Les Miserables, British Starlight Express for the wonderfully amusing "Call Me Rusty" and Wicked, Spamalot and 1976 Evita. I adore musicals. I need to look into getting tickets for Spamalot and I would love to see Wicked. *sighs*

For those who were curious about my trip to Japan, I've finally edited some of my pictures from the trip. Scary!

My thoughts on Doll Show 14:

Well, I really blew it and over slept more than usual, in fact that was the theme of this trip, not being able to sleep at night, and waking up later than I meant to in the morning. ^^; I got to the show at about 8:45 and was number 260 or so, YIKES! Doll Show has gone from a single floor in event in November 1999 to a 3 floor event, yes, you read that correctly 3 floors. Oddly enough despite my dreadful number I actually did rather well and the only booth that I missed getting things from is Baby Blue Eyes, and while I adore her dresses, these last two were not my favorites. (Had I wanted a SD or U Noss dress those were available) I did manage to get something at LeftWing, I nearly could have gotten and older Momoko even lol and I made it in time to Annz in time to get one of the dolls had I wanted but not the one I would have wanted had she not been sold out. But with Annz I partially blame my confusion and not my oversleeping since I went to the 3rd floor thinking Annz was there and waited on the LeftWing line rather than the 5th floor where Annz was located. I bought anther 1st gen Licca for a surprisingly low price, and I am still trying to figure out what the catch was lol I also bought a school girl Aiko who is rather pretty and a Castle Erika I need to find the right dress for. I confess that at 3 floors the doll show seems so different. I have fallen in love with those stupid BlueFairy dolls but fear I shall never have the money to afford one. Unless of course I can actually find someone in Korea to beg to order one for me lol I need Choco. lol though Yoko is also rather adorable. I prefer him with the furry wig, but would take the new version since hopefully the wig will be available separately. Volks really disappointed me by having NOTHING for sale but programs for Dolpa. Truly, why get a table if you're not going to sell anything. Totoco had outrageously priced boxed 3rd generation Liccas including an early kimono one for 50,000 yen! In general, none of the SD outfits ever seem that appealing to me, perhaps because I own two MSDs and I am really looking more for a new boy outfit. I'm hoping to make it back for DS 15, but I am tempted to oversleep again since the wait is so much nicer when it is only an hour and a half vs getting there at 7 and having to wait to 11. Though if I go early, I can finish earlier, get a locker and go to the Gundam Seed event at TRC... Decisions decisions.. or should I go to Seed first...lol

For those not interested in dolls...
RWT/Tokyo locales:
Ikebukuro
The Dennys where the double date took place
More of said Dennys
Where Yagyuu found Yuuta post-Yuuta running away
See McDonald's
Stairway down Yuuta used in the rain, notice the Starbucks Yuuta failed to see on the second floor XD;;
Better view of the Starbucks, Sunshine 60 and stairs. BTW, I was at that Starbucks when the November 2004 earthquake hit
Kichijoji koen, my favorite park in Tokyo
Valentine's Day locale Prima Baci, abutting the park
I think Tokyo needs more Starbucks *joke*
Yes, the playground where Keigo saves Yuuta, located conveniently near Doll Show 14
Wait, is that another Starbucks lol
Just in case you were concerned I didn't make it to enough Starbucks.. And for RWT fun, this is the same one where: Fuji and Wakato went, Yuuta met the Tachibanas, Syuusuke kissed Yuuta post-Greece, Yuuta was sitting when Yagyuu called post the break-ups and pre-karaoke, and where Syuusuke surprised Yuuta post-Singapore.
View across the tracks from said Starbucks.

And for those who prefer doujinshi and anime
The people who got to SCC after me.
The people who got to SCC before me.
The inside.
More inside.
And even more.
The Gundam Seed Destiny truck! lol
More of the truck
The doujinshi haul, though some were sold or sent to others.
Another view, yes this is bragging, though my arms ached afterwards lol

I know there were other things I wanted to babble about but now I've forgotten them. Maybe this will be an impetus to post more entries, or maybe not. lol
